~Intro~
We all have our hopes and dreams. Sometimes, they lead us into victory, yet sometimes they cause defeat. But what happens if an insane dreams comes into reality and wrecks havoc on a whole world? You are a colonist on the distant world of Aurelia, on which, it seems, war is inevitable. As a matter of fact, it has already started… But this is your war… Do you intend to win it?
~Current Story~
It’s been ninety years since humans came to Aurelia, and they were filled with excitement and joy. People explored the habitable zone, colonized its two moons and created vast cities… but shadow in the human nature will bring all of this to a sudden end. After the destruction of the acrobatic fighter, and the assassination of Lerahio Nehori, a group led by a strange man gathered an army and inhabited the Highlands, ready to fight his own war… And he has no intentions of stopping it.
~The Environment~
As a tidally locked planet, Aurelia doesn't rotate, and there is only a thin part of it that is habitable. As it has no magnetic field, it is in danger of its star's solar flares. When Humans arrived, however, they created an artificial magnetosphere, and the various... wildlife didn't have to worry about radiation anymore. And what would be a more perfect time to stop worrying about getting deep fried then when new prey has arrived?
The hemisphere that faces the sun is covered by a never ending hurricane and a swampy desert. The water in the desert is so hot that the only thing preventing it from turning into steam is the thin balance between the cloud cover being enough to get the water bellow boiling point and the scorching heat of the planet's sun vaporizing the water. The balance is, however, very thin, and even a slightest change would mean the whole side of the planet melting.
The other hemisphere is a frozen wasteland. Though rich with metals, the costs of even sending an expedition there would beat the profit by a long shot. There is a thin balance on this side too, as only the warm winds circulated from the hot side keep the atmosphere there from basically liquefying.
Between the two sides is a thin belt in which life can survive. Humans settled here when they landed and started to create a new world. Life here is bizarre, and even whole forests move. Little creatures, called Archyms (see species), create large deltas for great rivers flowing down from the wall of ice (see locations). This area is basically constantly shaking from earthquakes.
~The Species~
On a distant world such as Aurelia, there would be different species that fight for dominance. Here are those that you will meet in the RPG... for now.
Humans:
After thousands of years of being in suspended animation, humans colonized Aurelia and started to build a new world out of it. After creating a magnetosphere, the turn of events suddenly changed, and the hunters became the hunted.
There are three factions of humans:
1: Separatists
Led by a cruel and dark figure, the Separatists are the ones who started this war. They settled in the Highlands after their leader assembled them, and started terrorizing the cities of Aurelia. They are said to seek a project that was held top secret for two decades, and that could bring a new era to the universe. Their main army are mercenaries.
2: Unionists
These people fight to keep their land and all they believe in. They sometimes recruit mercenaries, but mostly fight alone. They hold the majority of the land and its cities. They have weak weapons, and aren't as though as the Separatists, but do posses some technologies that might just make the difference between life and death.
They usually bombard the enemy with their advanced fighters before attacking.
3: The Mercenaries
Strongmen of Aurelia, they posses advanced weapons and have absolutely no sense of personal hygiene. Often recruited into armies, they don't know how to live, only how to die. And they look forward to their death. They live in the Highlands, and protect a large ring of it that is unknown. They fight those who come not to recruit and pay them. Their numbers are unknown, but probably range from a hundred thousand to a million.
Animals:
1: Archyms
Mostly the size and shape of a beaver, they are the shapers of Aurelia's environment. Creating channels for great rivers, they created the network of swamps and rivers. Their natural predators are Hysteria and Mirantes, and even they barely succeed in catching them. They are considered pests as they create vast underground tubes through which high pressure water sometimes flows, and if anyone should step over it the ground will collapse, drowning him in the stream. They feed on fallen plants.
2: Hysteria:
Alone they are small, almost invisible to the naked eye alone. But when they get together, they're a nightmare. Their hiding place is in the water, waiting for someone to drink the water and them. Then they consume that animal, or person, from inside out and return to their hiding place. They are usually green, however when they see prey, they unleash all of their pigment. After feeding they get it again, though. They have no natural predators.
3: Mirantes:
Large animals with three eyes, Mirantes are the predators of Aurelia... and Hysteria's main food supply. They feed on Archyms and have incredible heat resistance. Ordinary energy weapons cannot hurt them. They are known to shatter metal walls with their powerful screams if there are enough of them. Their only threat is Hysteria, which can eat them from inside out, so Humans use moats filled with them to keep their numbers bellow the level at which they can unleash such a powerful scream. They communicate with high frequency sounds and body language.
4: Seritas
Living plants, these bizarre creatures can reach up to seventy feet in height. They create simple sugars using photosynthesis and pump them trough their massive body with five hearts. They move slowly, about a kilometer per day if they're lucky. Pretty much everything can eat them, controlling their massive numbers.
~The Locations~
Aurelia has several locations on it. Here they are:
1: Northern Villages
Seven villages to the north, they are called villages only because they’re small. There is no fertile land in the area, so they house most of the production not related to food there. On the intersection of trade routes between them, buildings are sometimes being built. In one of those buildings is a Magnetosphere generator. They have a large wall surrounding them for protection against the Seritas forest around them.
Status: Intact and held by the Unionists.
2: Southern Villages:
Mostly the same as the Northern Villages, the Southern Villages also hold a magnetosphere generator and have the same layout. However, they are safe from attacks and their climate is stable and they are away from the range of attack by the Separatists.
It is here that most food for Aurelia is created, due to the fertile lands around them.
Status: Intact and held by the Unionists.
3: Krelios City:
The largest city of Aurelia it was created at the crash site of the human spacecraft that carried colonists in suspended animation. It holds the main Magnetosphere generator and is positioned twenty degrees south of the equator. It was here that the war started, as an assault on it set it on fire.
Status: Damaged and held by the Unionists.
4: Wall of Ice
Located in the highlands of Aurelia, it is a large... wall of ice. It separates the dark side of Aurelia and the habitable area. It is rumored that a large complex is hidden within it.
Status: Cold.
5: Wall of Fire
The Wall of Fire is the border between the scorching desert of the side in eternal sunlight and the habitable belt. It is called so because each person who passes it unprotected will burn alive.
Status: Hot.
Trenios City:
Positioned in a valley where a lake once was, it is surrounded by fertile land. It is the capital of Aurelia, and is positioned only seven miles southeast of Krelios City. Here, there are many schools and it is the home of the experimental particle chute project. There is no crime here.
Status: Intact
7: The Highlands
Located between a large mountain chain and the Wall of Ice, they are the home of the Separatists and Mercenaries. Vegetation here is scarce, but there is an underground stream. A vast area of the Highlands is guarded by the Mercanaries.
Status: Intact, held by the Separatists and the mercenaries.
8: Anaka Spaceport:
Located on the equator, it is used to launch things into space. It is the home of the Academy of Aeronautics and Engineering, and a place where pilots are trained.
Status: Intact and held by the Unionists.

If you don't follow the following rules then there's going to be trouble...
1: No god-moding. That includes doing things beyond what is possible, traveling large distances with only one post (It makes time paradoxes, so don't, it gives me a headache), destroying stuff easily, and anything else that might be considered god-moding.
2: Use IC and OOC. IC is In Character; use it while saying something that adds to the story. Use OOC for anything else about the game. And it would be appreciated it if you used PMs when discussing anything else.
3: No killing or controlling other characters without permission. And by the way, that permission will be PMed to me, and then I will change the controller in the profile section temporarily and PM the new controller.
4: All MLNO rules apply. Nope, I couldn't resist.
5: Don't make huge twists in the story without permission.That's not too much, is it?

Bio: His parents killed by the Separatists, he hates them and he hates war. Ever since he was born, he was trained to become the new leader of Aurelia in place of his father, Lerahio Nehori, but he always wanted to visit his real home…

Other: He's no 'hooded youth', just a 14 year old with a Laser Katana.

Bio: Stinky was born off-world and came to this planet with his parents and 3 brothers. The belonged to the Unionists. When war broke, his entire family was killed during a pre-emptive strike. When the Unionists wouldn't take his advice he left for the mountains to join the Merc's. Since then he has become one of there most powerfull warriors and a respected teacher of the ways of the warrior.

Appearance: Stinky's a big boy, 6'4", 280 pounds, long dirty blonde hair, shave's twice a year, wears glasses and always wears an overcoat over his body armour and it's been said that his steely eyed stare is the only weapon he needs.
Other: Stinky always carries his special collection of tools, and it's said that he also carries some things of a sentimental nature, though no-one has everseen them.

Personality: Serious, but can't resist to make jokes when there's an obvious chance to. He doesn't really like to fight, but will if he needs to, to protect his friends.
Bio: Kaze had a hard time during the war, as his friends also fought in it with some not surviving, and some have turned to the Separtists' side. He reluctantly fights as a result, but will not hold back if needed, and will look for a way to get around it if he can
Weapons and tools: Kaze has an old Longsword, that's jagged on some of the blade, but can't replace it with a new one, due to his job he has.
Appearance: Kaze has messy brown hair, almost emerald green eyes, and usually wears a black te-shirt and ragged jeans.
Other: Kaze has the uncanny ability to think quickly and react fast in dangerous situations.
