 Being fit is being strong in the upper, middle, and lower body, so you cannot really say you're fit if you can't run more than a lap. My guess is that you have a really strong upper body, but you should lay low on the upper body, and work out your legs a little more. Upper body muscles are more for looks with most people, and the legs are left out. Go to work out your legs, start with walking a mile or two at a time, and work your way up. =P
