Just post anything about running. Questions are good too! I run the 800m 400m, and 1600m at the moment for high school track. Anyone else in competitive running?

My 1600m record is a 5:49 for now, but that was last year, and I was still recovering over a broken leg. I should be able to get down to at least 5:30, probably 5:10. As for peaking, that is when you reach the top of your runs, so if I peaked in two weeks at a 5:01, then I wouldn't be able to surpass that. (most likely) What is your 1600m time?

5:34 last year, 5:24 this year, but that was a bad race ( got boxed in and had a cold) Hoping to improve a little in the track meet in a few days. And @Peaking, yeah that's what I thought, just wanted to be sure, my coach is giving me easy practices saying she "doesn't want me to peak early." Well, my last track meet was a very very long time ago, but some of my records: 100 yards 9.9 220 yards 21.7 440 yards 50.5 880 yards 1:57.3 One-Mile Run 4:42.3 Bear in mind that I was 5'3.5" tall and about 100 lbs...with very little feet...  |
