As some of you know, I was away for a bit, bout' 3 months. Since being back I have tryed repeatetly to download the new LDD, everything goes great, right up until I go to activate it from the shortcut on my desktop, then nothing happens, please, can anyone help me out here.

I have had exactly the same problem, and have tried many things. I still do not have LDD. There is a topic with suggestions somewhere in the archives.

Then don't open LDD with the desktop shortcut. Open it up from the file.

Legodac: Maybe you could see if anything is wrong by clicking right tab of the mouse and select the option that has (R) at the back, I think it's the last one.

Thankyou both, I do have an update, sort of. I got on the phone and dialed Lego's Customer support. Fortunatly, the head of LDD is the supervisor there. The young man I spoke to has promised to get back to me for there have been many people calling with the same problem and they now know it's their problem not something to do with us. I'm sure they'll fix it soon, lost revenue is a wonderful motivator.

Thank you, legodac!! I have been missing noodling around with virtual bricks. And you are right about revenue. Non-functional LDD would effect the sales of LU as well as the sale s of models created by us.

Thanks MsRR, you know I even tryed a new program to see if that was my problem, though as you know, it isn't. But the the program, 30 dollars Canadian actually does what it says, my pc is faster then ever. One problem may lead to a solution to another problem you didn't know you had.

Oh, I think I get it now, my LDD is free(downloaded) from LEGO, so the problem may be only on the ones that are bought.

If that doesn't help  much, at least it may explain why I could open my LDD.

What version do you have, MsRR? Or was the problem because of the LU theme bricks thing? It says that it does not garuntee 100% safety.

The old LDD worked fine.. it is the new update that does not open.
