I grew up in New York & then lived in Mystic Ct before coming to Oregon..

I happen to love the beach, even though I've only gone 3 times in my life. South Padre is my favorite beach spot (when there's not a hurricane, otherwise, you want off the island)  You can only reach it by going on that bridge, and if it breaks there's no way off the island except by a ferry that only runs on weekends. (ask me how I know) There's also a funny rule for the island. Its a "No Tie Zone", and you will be fined the cost of the tie if you are caught wearing one. =P  |
