Here are the reasons that I don't like last.fm:
It puts the most popular artists first, the tags aren't organized so you can't find what you're looking for. And I dislike it even more because they bought out music.download.com - the ONLY place where you could find free music that was virus free, and no copyright infringement - because they were small artists (usually), or big ones who wanted to advertise their excellency by giving you some free stuff. It was great. You could find ethnic, ethnic-techno, every genre and sub-genre. Good music, some bad. They had labels for artists - warning you if they were explicit. Also for the songs, were explicit tags. Last.fm doesn't do this. You're listening (if you can get the radio to work on their horrid site) and all of a sudden you have to press mute because they fail to label anything.
