I would like to start a new topic here. I hope it hasn't been started elsewhere.

I would also like it to remain here in the MOC Corner and hopefully get pinned once it is popular.

I know barely nothing of how to create, print, show, or share a stop motion movie....

But I would really like to know because I would like to try.

Please share your ideas, experience, links, technical stuff and all that jazz here and we'll soon be on our way to making some really cool movies.  Smiley Smiley Smiley

I think everyone here may have a little something to offer, and between us all, we'll figure it out.

Here is my first contribution...

Here is another I found...

Here's another good one...

This the best one yet, very informative...

And this is what it's all about..

LEGO Tutorial: How to Make Your Own Brickfilm was the most helpful to me. Smiley And that last one was really funny. Cheesy Thanks Legodac!

I'm back. Probably not for long, as I've got school stuff to attend to, and I'll probably want to get a job at some point (hopefully self-employed). But nice to see you all again anyway.

It's not the taking of the pictures, nor is it the motion and movement of my characters, it's this darn computer thingamajig, that drives me crazy.

I just downloaded what I thought was a very neat and user friendly Stop Motion trial program. Nothing happened, just like the new LDD. I've been somewhat going at this all day, and even yesterday aswell.

I found out yesterday that replacing my graphics card in my Toshiba Satelite Laptop is almost impossible, it's hardwired you see.

Replacing it would require at least 6 weeks and about as much dough as a new pc.

So I moved on, to something here that would keep me challenged. Stop Motion Movies.

I spent 5 hours researching the best one, or at least trying to find one that was old guy friendly.

That's how I found out, I was out of date with my graphics card.

Here's the deal, I'm kinda stumped, and I know that there are brickers here far more knowledgeable then I when it comes to "the dreaded computer".

Help me, by posting here how I can do this, your advice will be rewarded, or I'll at least recommend you get a pat on the back.

Thanks alot eh.  Smiley

Hey Legodac,

What operating system are you using on your computor? I assume its windows? If it is then you can use Windows movie maker to make your stop motion's. All you have to do is import your pictures (in order) into Windows Movie maker and from there drag them into the bar on the bottom. There are a few more steps to take to make sure it looks decent...here is one of my first ones I did with Windows movie maker....Not the greatest but like I said these were my first attempts...

If you have any questions feel free to ask...

My saviour, I have many. I 've done all that you said, but I got stumped when it came time to reduce the timeline.

When I can do what you have done, I'll be where I want to be, awesome movie, sunglasses too.

Please, teach us how.

Thanks for the compliments Wink

Here is a pretty good explanation on how to shorten your timeline (or make more frames per second) The more frames per second obviously the smoother its gonna be....but it also takes a lot more pics =P so hope this helps!

When I first looked at title,  I knew it must be you, legodac. ;) :D

The videos are really cool, I wonder why the film makers don't get famous?

Ah, the man knows me, and to answer a question, maybe they don't care or they're not advertising in that way.

I have an update though, LDD and stop motion are out of the question for me untill I get a new PC. So you won't be seeing anything from me for a while,

                      But Hey

That doesn't mean I havn't been taking thousands of pics in preperation
