"Now." Sera said, as she turned away, and walked toward the hangar, as the rest of the team followed her.

OOC: Given her brother just died, don't take it too personally. =P

"Sure, that'd be cool. Haven't tried that before." Carrie said, and the others also nodded, as none of them had tried it before either.

Bailey was impressed.  Cool, calm, and disciplined?  And as heartless as a faithful operative must be?  I might actually LIKE working with her.  Perhaps there will be room for her on my team...once my oaf of a supervisor is out of the way. Bailey headed to her mech...and decided to turn the ditz down.  A little.  "You guys are gonna like this," she said, making a prodigous, overly flashy leap to the top of the cockpit.  "There ain't another one like her, no-sirree!"  She dropped into the hatch, closing it behind her, and immediately dropped the mask, but kept the voice.  "Now let's go blow up some Rebels!"

OOC: Bailey doesn't take things personally.  Or if she does, the offender doesn't live long enough to do it again.  Mere brusqueness, however, just impresses her.

Justin: "OK...let's pick teams!  Why don't you and Kora be captains?"

OOC: Let's mix the teams between your characters and Truth's NPCs, shall we?  That way, any two of us can keep playing if the third is offline.    And of course, Justin's gonna try and be on Carrie's team.

"Sera Kingston, heading out in the SRN-000." Sera said, as she entered her mech, and activated it, and the others followed the same idea.

"Sure, sounds good to me." Carrie said with a nod.
"I pick... Justin. That mech of yours looks very interesting." Carrie said to start, and looked over to Kora for her first choice.

"Bailey Wardens and the ERM-0003 StarStorm are ready to kick some Rebel rear!"

OOC: My typical way of showing that characters are evil or at least more evil than good. =P I do it for Chaos Hunters in DoaH as well. Was thinking of adding colours, but it'll take some memorization.

Sera waited as the platform in the base rose, and opened to revealed the landscape around the base, all the mechs standing on the platform.
"Let's go. Follow me." Sera said simply, as she piloted her mech toward the rebel base in question.

OOC: Again, not one of the mains, so we're not getting attacked. Yet. =P

Bailey follows Sera in silence.  Meanwhile, she keys a smaller display to observe the mech and pilot on her left.  Let's see what this one is up to...

OOC: Is that part of Sera's squad, or the other one who was supposed to help Bailey? =P

Sera continued onward, as they approached the rebel hideout. It was fairly obvious what the place was, as they hadn't even thought of hiding their mechs.
"Be alert; this is it." Sera stated, as the mech activated it's beam saber, and prepared for the attack.

OOC: I was trying to look at someone else in Sera's squad, see what they were up to.  Give them a chance for some character development.

-==IC:Bailey==-
Bailey pulls out her ComBeamers (beam sword/blaster combo) and converts them to ranged mode.  She activates the shield generator and arms her rockets.  She targets the toughest-looking enemy mech and awaits the order to fire.  "I'm like, ready to go when you are, Mon Capitaness!"

Meanwhile, Owen Smith had mostly kept to himself, but wondered who this newcomer was. He hadn't heard of her before, but that made sense according to her story. He didn't really care for the way she seemed to be trying to impress Sera, but also knew Sera likely didn't even care. He had his mech draw it's beam sabers, as the Rebels finally noticed them.
"Alright, time to do what we came here to do." Owen said over the comm link, as his mech sped toward the first Rebel mech, as the Rebels started to climb into their mechs.

Bailey spots a pilot heading toward the mech she had targeted. Unacceptable.  She opens fire, blowing the mech backwards and frying the hapless pilot who had just begun to climb in.  "Take that, Rebel *******," she said in her normal voice, not realizing she still had an open comm link to Owen.

OOC: Let the games begin.  >:-D

Surprisingly, the mech was still largely intact, despite taking several direct hits.  What have those scumbags been up to? she wondered.

Owen blinked, and raised an eyebrow, though he never mentioned anything. Meanwhile, another pilot had successfully gotten into his mech, and aimed his rifle toward Owen's mech. Owen sped toward it, and then slashed out at it with his beam sabers. The mech jumped back, and fired a blast at the shoulder of Owen's mech, which slightly damaged the armour, but didn't do anything further to the mech.

Bailey continued to vape pilots before they could get to their mechs.  A sadistic grin began to spread across her face.  Suddenly, the cockpit vibrated slightly, and the shields registered a missile strike...from the rear.  A moment later, four airborne mechs appeared on her scanner.  She doubted the other pilots saw them yet-most Imperial pilots were content to use inferior equipment.  Not her.  She could have vaped them, even at this distance, but she had a better idea.  She slowly piloted her mech closer to the Rebel base, and began to deliberately miss shots, allowing a few pilots to get to their mechs.  Now the airborne mechs were well within range, and both sets of Rebel mechs launched a full spread of missiles.  Bailey wasn't worried.  Not only could her mech shrug off the barrage if it hit, she had another surprise in store for them.  Just before the missiles would impact against her shields, she launched the StarStorm straight up.  The missiles flashed underneath her, and vaporized most of the two groups of mechs.  Bailey kept the StarStorm hovering, and chuckled darkly as she opened fire on the Rebels from point-blank range.

Owen had noticed the mechs approaching, but also had noticed Bailey's maneuverings. Owen slashed out at any mechs that had gotten close, along with his target, but watched to see what Bailey did, and was kinda impressed as she unleashed her attack, and then rushed forward, and sliced the mech he was facing in half, destroying the cockpit in the process.

Bailey noticed an important-looking individual--likely the base commander--trying to escape in a smaller mech.  She launched a single missile at him, but the pilot dodged.  She saw he was trying to hack the comm frequency--most likely to gloat.  No matter.  There was no reason; she hadn't missed.  A moment later, the commander's mech was crushed beneath a mass of twisted girders--Bailey's shot had collapsed a corner of the hangar. 

Suddenly, a robotic female voice filled the cockpit.  "Miss Bailey?  I thought you'd want to know--"

"Now is NOT the time, E.R.I.N."  She fired a spread of missiles without looking.  One of them flew down an empty hallway, the rest hit, destroying their targets. "I have more important things to do."

"Of course, Mistress."  The computer paused, hopefully.  "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Bailey heaved an annoyed sigh.  "See that damaged mech over there?" she said, indicating on her targeting screen the damaged mech that had withstood her assault earlier.

"Yes."

"I want it.  Get it back to base.  I don't care how."

"Yes, Mistress."

After a few minutes of E.R.I.N.'s hacking, the toppled mech began to stir, and it slowly rose to its feet.  A couple of the other Imperials fired on it, but it dodged the fire and ran behind the StarStorm, where it was out of the line of fire.  The mech blasted a pair of Rebel mechs and ran over a ridge, where it was lost to sight.

OOC: That comm link is still active, FYI.

Owen frowned as he heard what had been said, and wondered what that was about, and who this 'Erin' was. He still didn't say anything, however, but wondered if Bailey realized yet that the comm link was still open.

(Shiza): "I don't know. But Soul Energy is currently 6.2%."

"Koraaaaaaa... Are you going to pick your team for the game, or what?" Carrie asked, slightly frowning.
