"He...cares.  He's just...sorry.  No, I am.  It's obvious you care about him.  When I knew him, we were both much younger, and...well, truth be told, we were both pretty immature about our relationship.  I've been blaming him all this time for what happened, but...it's not fair to expect him to make considerations for things he didn't know.  I mean, you tell me: is the man psychic?  Does he seem like the kind of guy who'd pick up on little hints?"  Bailey chuckled, some of the pain leaving her voice.  She switched to a private channel between her and Carrie.  "Besides, I've moved on now.  And I can see he makes you happy.  So...let's give you two a shot at happiness, shall we?  Let's find him, and bring him home."

OOC: Have Carrie respond before Curtis, keeping in mind Curtis won't hear any of what Carrie says.  Yes, now is the time.

"Alright then." Carrie said with a nod, and slight smile.
"Let's do this then." Carrie said, though slightly wondering what Bailey had meant.

Meanwhile, Curtis had been listening to the conversation that didn't include the last part, and was curious about something.
"Hey, Bailey, uh... Your daughter... Uh... Is Justin the father?" Curtis asked, as he had been wondering that since Bailey had mentioned that he was her ex-fiance.

Bailey freezes, which means her mech freezes as well.  She sees Carrie's mech has also stopped moving...

Carrie blinked, as she looked at Curtis' portion of the video screen, who seemed oblivious to the fact that he had just unknowingly created an awkward silence.

*Rose and Adrian leave the restaurant*

(Shiza): "We should leave too, or they might not validate our parking. And if they don't we'll have to pay full price. I'm too pretty for the Spice Mines of Kessel!"

Lloyd simply ignored Shiza, and followed Rose and Adrian.
Note to self: Punch Adrian later. Make up excuse in meantime. Lloyd thought to himself.

(Imperial Commander Simon Carz): "My queen! This is truly an honour!"

 "I have no time for pleasantries, worm. I am sending you the complete schematics of the Rebel base. I want no survivors."

Barry sighed, as he laid back on the couch, ready for a peaceful nap, blissfully unaware that a very large raid was about to be conducted and possibly destroy the base.

"Well, what are we waiting for?  Let's get out of here, Isabella!"  He grabs Shiza and jumps out the nearest window.

OOC: this is a one-story restaurant, right?

OOC: Yeah...sure it is.

IC: (Commander Simon): "Our Queen has given us all we need to destroy the Rebels on the day of their greatest victory! ATTACK!!!!"

(Soldier): "Sir...the troops aren't even out the door yet."

Drake looked out the window with a frown.
That's weird... She wasn't part of the Imperials? But she had to be... Yet, she wasn't one of the people who fought us. How is this possible? Drake thought, as he got lost in his memories.

-==IC: Curtis==-

Curtis noticed the awkward pause, and had a fairly good idea of what caused it, but that didn't help stop the silence at all.

[The Truth]

The Imperial forces attacked.

OOC: I'm going to assume Rose, Adrian, and Lloyd made it back. Not sure about Bade and Shiza.

Drake looked up at the window, and his eyes widened as he saw Imperial Mechs marching toward them... And not the good Imperials.
"Guys! We're under attack!" Drake yelled out, as the sudden noise caused Barry to crash to the ground comically, as Drake grabbed him by the back of the shirt to not waste time, as he dragged the still half asleep pilot to the hangar.
"What's going on...?" Barry asked, and Drake rolled his eyes.
"It's an attack. Get ready." Drake said, and Barry blinked, and frowned, but then nodded. Drake and Barry got into the mechs, and were about to head out, when Lloyd, Rose, and Adrian returned. Lloyd noted that the mechs were being activated, and frowned.
"What's going on?" Lloyd asked, and Drake sighed.
"We're being attacked; come on!" Drake said, and Lloyd's eyes widened, as he nodded, and ran to his Mech. However, before he could get into it, Iris came out from the shadows and frowned.
"Iris...?" Lloyd asked, and Iris sighed.
"Be careful..." Iris simply said, as she headed to her mech. Lloyd looked at her with a curious look, but shook his head, and activated his mech, as the rebels piloted their mechs out of the hangar quickly.

[The Truth]

*The Good Imperials and the rest of S.H.I.R.A Squad head to their mechs*

(Rose): "Two questions: why is there a live ostrich in my mech, and where is Luna?"

(Leo): "First question? I'd guess...Shiza. Second...She's a little overwhelmed from everything that happened today, so she went for a walk in the forest."

[Flipz]

OOC: We did, too.  We're just a little ways behind.

"Are you gonna say something?"

"What in tarnation?"  He said as Imperial mechs opened fire on the Rebel base.  He pushes Shiza inside an alley.  "Stay here," he says, pulling out his Colt.  He draws a bead on the nearest mech, then pulls the trigger.

PING! PING! PING!   KA-VOOOMMMMM!!!!  The bullet ricochets wildly, blowing holes in three of the mechs' fuel tanks and causing them to explode.  "How do ya like that, ya steam punks?!"

OOC: Endangering "Isabella" is one of the few ways to make him be serious.  Well, MORE serious, anyway.

Lloyd frowned, and whipped out his Beam Rifle, and pointed it at one of the approaching Imperial mechs, and then fired quickly.
"We can keep them away." Lloyd said, as he prepared for the true fight that was upcoming.

OOC: Shiza's usually happy and nice, but if someone hurts one of her friends, she is perfectly happy to strangle them with their own intestines.

IC: *Rose shoos the ostrich out of her mech*

Lloyd fired another shot at the next mech, which actually pierced it, and went through the next three mechs behind it.
"Another one bit the dust." Lloyd stated, as he turned his attention to the other ones around.
