Carrie nodded, as she headed toward where they were approaching the Glory. Curtis, on the other hand, had a thought string triggered by Bailey mentioning Chrome. He then had one of those dramatic flashbacks, and even spoofed that, by dramatically raising his hand as if suddenly remembering something.
Thrown to the back of the shuttle... Looked back... Saw something collide with the shuttle and crash to the ground... Saw something crash to the ground... Something... Something...
Curtis's eyes widened, as he froze, and slowly turned his head to look at the side visual sensors.
"Oh my..." Curtis said, as he suddenly had his Mech run over closer to where the ruins of the Glory were.

OOC: That any hint as to what I believe happened? =P

Rose fired a huge missile at the mechs. The mechs were not even scratched.

By that time, most of the fighters had been taken out of the fight some way or another. Barry's mech was missing an arm and a leg, Drake's was damaged enough that none of the functions would work, and Iris had been knocked out by her mech slamming into an obstacle. Defeat seemed imminent for the fighters...

Sacrifice or defend... Lloyd thought, as his fists clenched with his eyes still closed.
Duh-dun The Silencer started to spark, as it powered up once more.
DUH-dun The screen lit up, as the Silencer's hands gripped it's weapons.
Duh-DUN The screen started to display two words, and then read it off the screen.
Full Synchronization
DUH-DUN Lloyd's eyes snapped open, already changed into it's state that it usually is in during OverDrive.
"I choose to defend." Lloyd stated, as he mech stood up.
"OVERDRIVE! FULL SYNCHRO!!! Lloyd yelled out, as power surrounded the Silencer, but then disappeared as fast as it appeared... Only for the Silencer to speed toward one of the Prototype Mechs quickly.

OOC: Yeah, I believe the term is that 'they're dead now'. =P

Also, those bolded italic parts in the Lloyd IC are to simulate heartbeat sounds... Since while those are always used for epic situations like here; there isn't really an accurate way to represent that text-wise. =P

In case you're wondering, I ALWAYS run things like that that way.  If it's in my post, it has a meaning. [/allusion to something elsewhere...]

It was Justin's mech, alright.  Flashy, obnoxious--but clearly technologically advanced.  And crushed, warped impossibly--there was no way...

"C...Carrie...run a scan for l...life signs, please...I...I can't..."

OOC: Just run the scan and react to Carrie's perceptions, I'll reveal the results.

Carrie looked over to what was being referred to, and froze in her tracks as any grins faded from her face, but gulped, and nodded slightly, as she activated her mech's scanner...

OOC: Flipz: Yes. I just didn't realize it at first. =P Plus, I might not always notice the reference, but it escapes me now how that wasn't obvious at the time. =O

Poor Justin could've been saved by now, if I had've realized it. =P

Carrie held her breath, as she frowned.
"What does that mean? It said no organic material found... But... How could that..." Carrie blinked, not exactly sure what to say right then, as it seemed like the search was all for nothing now.

The Prototype mechs pressed the attack.

Lloyd narrowed his eyes, and the Silencer shot forward, and then attempted to stab his Beam Saber right through the cockpit of the closest Prototype mech.
"You messed with the wrong Pilot."

The prototype mech was unharmed.

Lloyd, however, charged up and fired a point blast laser blast, with the barrel right against the cockpit of the Mech.

Out of nowhere, J leaps onto the back of the next mech Lloyd fights, spraying powdered creamer all over the pilot and setting it ablaze.  "Looks like you could use my help," she says, as the pilot screams in agony.  J climbs atop Lloyd's mech and readies her improvised powdered-creamer-napalm-flamethrower for the next attack.

"What??"  Her breath caught in her chest.  There was a glimmer--no, it wasn't possible.  If he wasn't dead, then there was only one possibility.  "He's been...taken.  They'll torture him, try to get information and then--"  she stoped.  She couldn't bring herself to say it.  "I know.  It's how they operate."  How I used to operate.  The thought made her sick.  "We're...we're too late."  Her heart sank.  Then, however, her battle resolve kicked in.  "Come on.  We can still help the others."  And Brianna, she thought.  If those Recon dirtbags lay a finger on her...no, they can't have found the safehouse yet.  But if the Rebels fall, it's only a matter of time...  "Come ON," she repeated.  "Let's MOVE!"

A man sat in the cockpit of a mech.  A technician looked at him worriedly.  "Are you sure you want to go out there, General?  This thing isn't intended for combat."
The man nods grimly.  "I'm sure.  They need my help.  And at long last, I am able to provide it."  The man sealed the cockpit, ran through the checklist...and Launched.

He was on his way.

(??): The girl entered her chambers and picked up the note. It read as follows: Shiza knows who you are, Queenie. But Shiza won't tell. Shiza doesn't care which side wins. Shiza's just along for the ride.

Lloyd didn't say anything, but quickly dashed to the next mech, and repeated the process from the first one.

"Right." Carrie said with a nod, as she piloted her mech toward the battlefield quickly, with Curtis following.
