"Contact established with moonbase computers." Shil reported.
"Shuttle has cleared Earth's atmosphere. Course set for the moon."
"We have visual." Shil said. "The Other has appeared directly between the shuttle and the moon."
"Shuttle shields to max! Ion cannon fire on The Other. Randomize power of the blasts so he can't adapt." Jared ordered. "Roger. Ion cannon is firing."
The blasts of energy hit The Other dead-on.
"No effect. I repeat, ion cannon has no effect."
