OOC: FINALLY! Have I mentioned that moving sucks? Also: QUIT POSTING TEN PAGES WHEN I'M NOT ONLINE!!!!

IC: Clive
"Oh my stars..." When Ray started talking, Clive didn't just
hear what he was saying...he
saw it. When Ray was finished, Clive shook his head to clear it. "Well, that might explain that business of 'messing with you' before...I just saw everything you just said. Something screwy's going on with our cybernetics. i wonder if that sorceress person is involved..."
"Oh, right. Back to the matter at hand. I think I recognize those things from an old data file...a friend of mine in another galaxy has a collection of them. We may be able to get some info on those things' weaknesses from him...meantime, though, we need allies. We need to sort through those distress signals, figure out which ones are survivors and which ones are automated signals from people who are now dead. If people survived, they're probably strong enough to help us fight these...things. And Rakoua. Lemme just say this now, friend: If you're around, I'll let you strike Rakoua down, but if I get a shot and you're not there to take it, I'm doin' it myself. I owe him some major pain for all the (%@* he started. Plus, he owes me a new office. And a new planet."
"For now, though, we're fugitives. That means we gotta think like fugitives, and no one knows subterfuge better than a spy. Like me. Part of the whole "mercenary" gig, it covers a
really wide field of possibilities. Anyway, the first thing a spy does when he's being tracked is--"
Just then, the Borg ships show up. "Sithspit! Ok, men, back to the ships. Follow my lead!" Clive beams back to his ship, links it to Thoron's, and immediately begins evasive maneuvers. Once the Terran ships form up behind him, he flies right next to a sphere, so close the weapons can't track him fast enough to hit. "Reconfigure your shields to this configuration, and put these coordinates into your navicomputer!" Once the other ships responded they were ready, Clive said, "Activate your FTL drive on my mark!" He leads the ships straight at the main cube at top speed.
Preparing singularity in 3..2..1... A crackling sphere of violet lightning forms in the front cannon of Clive's ship. "3..2..1...MARK!" The exact instant the ships activate their Faster Than Light drives, the sphere shoots out a crackling beam. Right next to the Borg Cube. Instantly, a quantum singularity opens up, damaging the Borg Cube, and the other ships shoot into it. A split second later, the portal closes, but not before another group of ships emerges, totally alien in appearance and almost...alive.
The Undine had arrived.
OOC: @ Rakoua: Two can play at the "massive fleets of enemies" thing.
