Space Wars: Regression

Millions of years ago, the universe witnessed many wars, but none of them on the scale of the final war before the 'Regression'. To the few pacifists, this was  To the citizens of planets, it felt like the end was coming. What they did not know... is that it was right around the corner. Nobody knows what wiped nearly everything out. Not even the greatest historians... because nearly all historical records were took with it. Last known message from that period is from that of a person named 'Marik'. The event is known as the 'Regression', the event that wiped out approximately 97.4 percent of the Universe's population. But now, the Universe is back to its former glory. Some species survived. Some didn't. The Space Travel is back to 'very fast'. At least a lot faster than an electron. Many wars are beginning and ending, some about small things and some about the largest things. To some Historians, this means that history is repeating itself from an earlier point post-disaster, just with more advanced technology. But a few think that history is repeating itself from before the disaster... and this is not good, as this could lead to the Second Regression. Some ambitious people plan to rebuild the great 'charity' IESA, from what they know of the little Historical records left from the past. Others set out to find the secrets of galactic ruler Marik, and some hunt people on streets daily, hoping to find the supposedly immortal 'Tartarus', supposed inventor of 'Tartar sauce', even though it is 99.9% of the things people seek from before the regression probably don't exist any more.

People say that before the Regression, societies were at their highest points. But some disagree: if they were at there highest points, why were there wars still happening? Others believe that the Regression was a hoax, pulled by the ruling powers of many planets.

Now, after the Regression, everything seems 'healed', despite losing many species. One thing: wars still happen every now and then. Especially now: many planets are on the verge of war, as are Galaxies. The Universe is likely to see one of the biggest Inter-galactic Wars it is had since the Regression, and everything seems to point to it. Not only that, but new, manipulative evils are likely to rise, and lives are going to end.

As anyone can tell, a new age is beginning. But with a new age... new Villains rise, opposed by new Heroes. Wanderers become galaxy-renowned. Travellers become 'heroes of history'. Some care about the past. Some don't. Some wonder why one galaxy still has yet to develop any sign of life. And people wonder why the 'Cult of the Blade' is so popular in the more primitive parts of the Universe despite it claiming that 'magic' is real.

The TSS Wellington has been traveling trough the galaxy for about two months now, trying to locate suitable planets for mining or terraforming...

Ray frowned, as he looked around the room he was in. It was the command room for one of the space craft that had been newly created on Terra. However, Ray couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He prepared himself for anything, just as the whole room started to flash red, and multiple screens flashed the word 'warning' all around. Ray, on the other hand, simply sighed.
"Here we go again..." Ray said, as he pressed the play button on his CD Player. It read the disk that was inside of it, and then streams of coding and data surrounded Ray. After that was all said and done, Ray stood there in armour, and frowned, as he held his hand out and generated a Dual Helix Sword from the coding granted by the Data Disk.
"Let's go."

IC (Rakoua):

As they approached a seemingly habitable planet, Rakoua ordered it to be scanned.

OOC: Anyone want to meet me?

Ray frowned for the second time in approximately as many minutes. He had entered the computer systems in a way; to try and find out the problem. However, he was now staring down a 10 foot high dragon virus.
"Just great. As if I didn't have enough problems..." Ray muttered, as the Virus started to destroy things in the computer system. Important things. Like the throttle key.
"... I should just let this thing destroy stuff..." Ray said, as he shook his head, and phased out of the system. Ray looked at the lone screen that wasn't warning about the security breach, and was instead warning about an impending crash with another space craft that was in turn approaching a planet.
"Oh great, just my luck..."

IC (Rakoua):
"Most interesting" I said and ordered tractor beams to stop the starship that was approaching.
I found it strange that someone would attempt a suicide run like that, so I attempted to establish contact with the pilot.

Hinser walked back to ship, the assassination was through. Kicking off his bloody boots, he demanded one of his servants to get him a cup of Earl Grey tea. "Bbb.bb....bbut.."
"NOW!"
The servant ran away quickly and came back soon with the tea. Hinser took a sip and frowned "It's too hot!". He splashed it on the servant and demanded more. When that was all done he got back to the controls of the Lirviat, his ship

Ray yelled out, as an explosion blew up a nearby computer system.
In retrospect; maybe it would've been a good idea to destroy that virus anyway... Ray thought, as a communication line was announced. Ray growled at more things to worry about, but opened the comm link anyway.
"Yeah, kinda busy right now, trying to stop a ship from crashing... What?" Ray asked, as he looked around and tried to figure out what he could do. Unfortunately, the tractor beam simply had caused the ship to speed up, instead of pull it to safety.

Hinser just then saw an explosion from somewhere in space, "I wonder what that could be...". He scanned in the direction of the explosion, but found nothing. "Hmmmm..."

"Your status is irrelevant. You have 30 seconds to evacuate before we begin firing at your ship."

Tartarus exited the meeting room. She hated dealing with those crime lord scum, but it was necessary. It was the only way for her to obtain the holocron owned by crime lord Dighed Ritle, and without the holocron, she'd never be able to figure out how to use the artefact given to her by the mysterious child known as 2.

"Yes; because a virus getting into the ship's systems is certainly my fault, or the ship's." Ray said, slightly annoyed, as he focused, and then vanished from the ship, and reappeared behind the person who was essentially ordering his destruction.
"But by all means; fire away if that's what you really wish to do."

IC (Rakoua):
"Is there any reason why I should not destroy your starship?"

"The core's explosion would take both our ships out the moment you fired. Or, You could move out of the way, and let the ship crash on it's own, which would limit casualties." Ray pointed out.

[Rakoua]

IC (Rakoua):

"Or I could just blow it up and get out of here."
Two torpedoes were fired at Ray's ship and the Wellington started to move away at FTL speed.

OOC: Since no shockwave can move FTL...

Ray rolled his eyes, and simply laid back, as he deactivated his armour, the CD player being restored to it's place on his vest.
"So; who are you people, anyway?"

IC (Rakoua):
"I'm afraid I'd rather have you introduce yourself first, you're on my battlecruiser afterall. What happened to your ship anyway?"

"Virus infiltrated the computer systems. Tried to destroy it, but well... Explosions happened first. It destroyed the key components that kept the ship going." Ray explained, and then nodded.
"I'm Ray."

Thoron looked up at the sky. His eyes, sharper than most any organics, narrowed, and he saw it. An explosion, barley detectable from the ground of the dead planet. "Must be a ship" he muttered to himself. Thoron turned back to the relic he was digging out. He pulled the strange curved blade out of the ruins, and swore. "More weapons..... doesn't this planet have anything good?" Turning around, Thoron walked deeper into the ancient  ruins.
