OOC: We're in...FLUIDIC SPACE!!!  Dun dun duuuuuuun!!

IC: Clive: "Power down all waepons and shields.  I've swung with these guys before.  As long as you make it clear you're not here to hurt them, they usually leave you alone."

Ray and Thoron together: "Usually??"

Clive: "Yeah.  We probably want to get out of here as soon as we can anyway, just to be safe.  We just need to figure out WHERE we want to come out.  You do know that Fluidic Space is the fastest way to get across the galaxy, as long as you have a good grasp of quantum mechanics, right?"

IC: Undine
Millennia ago, the Undine were invincible.  The Borg could not assimilate them, couldn't even touch them, and all other life-forms were pathetically weak compared to them.  Then the humans gave the Borg the means to defeat them.  But the Undine survived.  And discovered that they, too, could adapt.

The Borg fired their nanoprobe weapons at the Undine battlegroup.  The weapons stung.  The pilots felt their ships' pain.  And then the Undine ships did something no one expected: they healed.  These new frigates had the means to break down the nanoprobes into their component elements, and use them to heal their own tissues.  The Undine turned to face the Borg Cube.  They latched on to its outer shell.

And they began to feed.
