The hatch was instantly vaporized...along with three maintenence corridors beyond it. The blast barely missed the warp core, instead vaporizing a lift to the second level of Engineering. Kaze, Pavlov, and Rakoua were blasted back into the wall of the jeffries tube. After a second of stunned silence, alarms began blaring throughout the ship.
--Deck 10--
Red alert. All hands to emergency positions.As the alarms went off, Guinan grabbed Etain and Midori's hands and practically dragged them into a storage bay. Midori was about to ask why when a flood of crew rushed through the corridor, hurrying from the forward holodeck to their stations. "Stay here," Guinan told Midori, "Etain and I will handle this." Guinan took Etain's hand and waded into the corridor. Maintaining the grip was difficult in the rushing crowds, but Guinan held tight; there was no telling where they would end up if they got separated. Guinan led Etain into a nearby Jeffries tube, where the flow of people was at least somewhat controlled.
