The turbolift doors open, and you see the entrance to the forward holodeck in the distance.  Pavlov checks the indicator, sees the 'deck is active, and leaves, deliberately avoiding Lt. Norton as the latter comes down the corridor from the other direction.  For his part, Norton appears to avoid looking at Pavlov as well, though that may have just been good interpretation of Pavlov's body language.  A moment later, Norton enters the holodeck; you recall that this holodeck was currently serving as a replacement for the damaged Twelve-Forward.

You realize that you will have to choose which officer to follow: Pavlov or Norton.
