Link's likely gonna be an NPC; but I might give him as a reward to a good RPer. Mostly due to the fact that there
is an existing Link(The Oracle game Link); he's just missing. =P I could work in a plot twist, but that might happen later on in the RPG, when I can see who's good at Role Playing in this. =P For right now, I'll make a profile for Link, but it'll basically serve as an example one for now. =)
As for your excitement, it's because Zelda's just that awesome. =P And while you wouldn't think that stuff from those games would appear(Split timeline and all); I'm not confirming or denying anything right yet.
Since you have a Wii, however, I'd suggest getting Ocarina of Time to start you off, even though the 3DS version is way better. =P But, even that little bit of knowledge you have will do; I can guide people along through the rest. In fact, I'm realizing now that I probably should've put a 'races' section to describe the basic races like Gorons and Deku and Zora... But I can always expand it.
