Passed, and the Land of the Free will lose just another little freedom.

Stopped, and Piracy will stay for another day.

Of course I oppose this, if it is passed the whole World Wide Web will be crippled. But I do get the idea behind it, piracy is a problem (just ask 17th Century Sailors ), it needs to be stopped. But there are so many ways to stop it, without this over-the-top law being passed.
There is a way to stop the free, but there is no way to stop freedom (if you get that then I am profound )

Actually, this won't even stop a majority of piracy, just to chime in.

Piracy of music, games, and stuff like that? People who do that won't be affected by this bill. Just movies, and there are many more innocent people who would be affected than the people who try to do pirate-y stuff on other sites. But really. This won't even affect the majority of people there either! The main thing this is likely to do, is try and get Microsoft or Apple more money by forcing people to buy things like music videos or such, instead of just saying "oh, hey, I wanna watch a music video... To YouTube I go!".

I don't agree with this, because it seems like mostly a money grab opportunity potentially spurred on by Apple and Microsoft, and it won't do a thing about piracy when it matters most, really. However, on the flip side, I can't do anything about it, since I don't live in the States.
