Well, there were player leaders, and currently it's as followed, except some are...

H.O.T's Chosen Team: craZyRacrXtreme
R.E.D's Chosen Team: Tomthewarrior, someone I forget, and TRM8/9.
Zero's Chosen Team: Last I heard, it was... DWReyes. Or so.
Nitro's Chosen Team: I don't really know.
Maverick's Chosen Team: They have a council of players.

I think I'm a great selection for the Beta Test; Rank 3 in the MLN Beta Test, DRC racer, played on Lego.com since around 2003, Rank 7 in MLN currently, and I'm also good with computers and I have time to get on just about every day. I really hope I get selected. And we will need to create a topic when the Beta Test opens so that we can have teams from the old DRC re-collect and choose new teams, or split up. I will speak for us Zer0s this time: I'm thinking we will join the one MOST like Zer0.


A lot of people stopped coming after the DRC was gone. Many people came here (to LEGO.com) to only play the DRC.

I have a feeling you are going to be picked.

Here's why I don't think I will be picked:

• The LMB mods hate me.
• I was the ultimate überglitcher (15 billion points people... =P), and Lego thinks the überglitch was hacking.
• I am epic popular on MLN, they wouldn't want to give me something to be more popular for.
• I'm the leader of a DRC team, they most likely want to give new people chances to flourish in the new game.
• Lego is too lazy to hand-pick people.

Only reason they might want me is to spread the word via my popularity.

Yeeeaah... good reasons. I hope LEGO doesn't find out I tried the überglitch... o.0 I don't think that'll happen though, nor will it affect me. And I don't think your popularity would help anything; it's not like LEGO knows that you come here along with about 274 other active members.

Well I never really though of those factors, I just thought, like you said, because of popularity and ability to spread the word.

Well there was that one time when they locked all the team hqs, and I happened to have a talk with the mod that had joined the old InZone.  Maybe he didn't like being told how to do his job... :P

Plus the fact that I've defended glitch use a few times over the years.  My posts never seemed to get through, but my opponents were allowed to post hateful messages regarding the H.O.T. Elite and myself.

You shouldn't need to unblock anyone to get their mail.  When they've had Brickkeeper or Max send out messages they get through even if you've blocked them.

its not just the LU skin - the superior bionicle skin has it too.

Yeah it is better, but I'm using the LU skin for now just to let everyone know I did the rank. :P

I sent a complaint to customer service about the requirements for joining the beta test, and received a personal reply, saying they would consider changing the requirements to let anyone join 0:) 0:) 0:) 0:) 0:).

To me, that still looks like an Automated response...

The only thing that's bad is the fact that it's getting chosen, the Rank 3 isn't bad, because it gets rid of most of the Dupers. But even the getting chosen thing isn't that bad, because everyone has a chance, but if they allowed EVERYONE to Beta test it, who would want it to go to actual release, because technically that's what it'd be...

based on my previous experiences with them, some of which i deleted, I do not  think that it is automated. for example, I sent an email with a suggestion for the next pellet module, because i felt that the electro-pellet inductor module was too slow, and here is their reply:

That first mail is automated. The second, though, I don't think is automated. But, I don't think... I've been getting stuff AFTER the mini-rank was finished.

even if the REPLY is automated, it doesn't mean that LEGO isn't reading the emails. I still think each of us should ask LEGO to make the beta test open to everyone.

Why though? That would open it to dupes, which we do not want. And it's not THAT hard to get to Rank 3...

It would also open it to all real users who are having trouble reaching rank 3 (like me), and Duplicate accounts are unlikely to use the beta anyway. plus, who cares if anyone can play? you should be happy if anyone who wants to help can! 

You could get help from sites like this. Plus, it's not like the whole game is open to only Rank 3 people. It's just the testing part.

I know that, but I have confirmation that there will be a MLN badge for whoever helps the beta test, and it would be unfair to give the badge out to beta testers if they didn't get a choice to help test. plus, the MLN beta test was open and no one was upset about that ;)

Uhhh.... only random people are going to be picked for the beta testing.
Not MLN Beta Testers, but some of them will still get it. (Speaking of MLN beta Testers, I'm seeing less and less of them...)

I have only three of the four beavers needed to activate the electro-dam module, I have no blue bricks, I am missing two millstones, I don't have a single giant, (everyone falls asleep) I am low on red bricks even though I have two factory rank two modules (three days of clicking on magazine modules rank two). any and all help would be appreciated.

But that means Dupers can play. And then they can use the link to get their dupes to play and help them.

Because there was a rule about only one account per user, and no-one knew there'd be a badge until it ended.

Yes, now do you see why we don't want it open to everyone, because he could very easily get in? At least this way, the chances of Pando and his dupes getting in are like 1 in... 99999999999999999999999999999 99999999999999999999999999999 or so =P

maybe there could be a way to get in if you pass a really long, really hard quiz. that way, it would be harder for dupes to get in, and only the those who were really dedicated to getting in, could get in.

A lot of LMBers and old timers are going to be hyped up about this... mainly because it's like DRC, which was an awesome game.

not necessarily. I once took an online class where the questions were in random order and only a few of them (about 20/40) were shown each quiz. if lego does this, It would be harder to guess the right answers. plus, if there was a limit on the amount of times you could take the quiz, you wouldn't have much luck guessing.

Except, dupes are just people using another account, they're not bots.

Yes, it was the green team. There will be new teams that the five old ones will be picking, and five new teams, one of which may be taken by someone trying to take over R.E.D.(And failing =P)

They're not going to make another proper rank any time soon. If/when they do, chances are it'll be more then 1.

And if they do, It's probably gonna be a Mini-Rank.

Like, they started to, instead of just racing, get together and make HQs, and act more as a team, and the teams got leaders, either elected or otherwise. But, I think you may just be a good leader if you can be, but right now it's all up in the air until the teams are actually announced of what it'll be... And expect Chaos from most of the members as they all try to be leaders of teams -_-'

2. No, only one, there were two Blue teams(Nitro and Zero), one Orange team(H.O.T.), one red team(R.E.D.), one green team(Maverick), and one inaccessible team, the EX Team, which was gray/silver.

I could've sworn I joined Maverick just because it was Green. =P


And the EX Team? If it was inaccesible, does that mean it was a Team of CPUs?

No, it means it couldn't be joined, said you had to be more experienced, but of course you couldn't switch teams, so...

But, people theorize the Ex Team were those bosses you face to rank up in licenses.

Both. Their were "Bots" that you raced if there weren't any human players to race, and there were also actual people. Usually the bots were weaker than the human players, but I think there might've been some exceptions to that. You also raced CPU opponents in the License tests.

But... While bots were weaker, they also didn't give any Win percentage downs, or very little, to the team you raced.

Couldn't you buy stuff to upgrade your car? I remember buying one of the items that looked like an engine... LEGO Engine that is... Maverick or Nitro... which was I?

I didn't play it much, although when I did, I loved it.

Yeah, you could, but say where you had two slots, the bots only had one. You could also upgrade how many slots you had and what the stats were as you progressed in the ranks.

No, they got upgraded as you progressed in ranks, but they were supposed to be fill-ins when there wasn't anyone else to race ;)

Just of your rank, otherwise Class A players would own the Class E players with their uber cars =P

No, the challenges and when they'd activate or not were, but the tracks... Well technically it was just you went into a race, and had the option of watching or skipping it. There were six zones, Ice, Beach, Desert, Jungle, High Speed, and Urban.

Oh. So it was just a random chance of winning? Or did you need to watch to ensure that you'd win? And were the areas ranked in hardness? Cuz High Speed sounds high-ranked.
I can't really remember the last time I played DRC...

It was all random, but having higher stats and parts than your opponent just about guaranteed a win for you. 'specially if you had the "Class C" cars and you were in Class E and racing the new people =P

No, you didn't have to watch unless you really wanted to.

No, you just had to have your cars outfitted right, like chassis stuff for Jungle, Wheel stuff for Beach, and Engine stuff for High Speed. Nitro and Zero fought over High Speed a lot.

It had to have been around two years or more now, since it was taken down around April '07.

More than Two years ago... I wish I could warp back in time. =P
And just be outfitted right? That must've been why I lost every single race I raced, probably due to using chasis stuff on high speed...

Well, that and starting on different lights and risking more or less at the end... =P

LRC is gonna be awesomer than I could imagine.

1 a. Risking is going all out, a bit, or not all all at the finish line, and if you fail, you lose 5 m, 2m, or nothing respectively. b. This is a rock-paper-scissors type of thing, you choose either red, yellow, or green, and if it beats the light your opponent chose, you gain a few m. If it's "weak" to your opponent's light, you lose m though. This one happens at the beginning.

2. Yeah, 'specially if it has the same type of things I was just mentioning. heck, maybe this is part of the reason we can't skip, so we can choose it as it happens =D

3. If they don't make it be against others, after the success of DRC because of that, they'd be making a mistake in that terms =P

LRC's gotta be against other players and Bots...

Not all random, and you don't even need to really work with them. And I'm planning on us selecting the same team, which is why I think some of the first day should be used to talk about which team each old team will be taking, then have it spread as the one who know quickly join... =P

Easy, just race them =P There's nothing stopping you from racing others from your team. ;)

Just one? How much more thrilling could the races be if you raced against more than one player... hopefully in LRC.

Who knows, they may up it, but if they keep the same type of idea DRC had, then it wouldn't work, because DRC was a head-to-head "Battle" of sorts. Like, as much as a race with parts and such could be a battle.

It wasn't really random though. You could choose who you race, and well... They didn't exactly need to accept...

They had so many races they could take on a certain zone because they couldn't be raced anymore, and when they went on their account, they'd see a type of Race inbox, where they could watch races. I think you could enable or disable if you wanted to be raced or not though.

That means you could lose while not playing... and win sometimes too... was it just confined to the area you're in?

Well, since you could have cars set up on all 6 zones, anyone could race you as long as you had a car set up and were accepting challenges.

Does that mean you could have different cars for different zones?
