"I think there have been rumours that there are alternate ways." Shiro stated, as no-one noticed that the Chaos Guardian had walked up in front of Marik, and was now trying to punch him through to another building.

OOC: No offing him until at least the Freeway. And there's a reason I haven't named him yet. =P

OOC: no offing him until Disneyland; have you guys not considered how awesome it would be to shoot ki at each other while riding Space Mountain?! 

IC: Aki notices the Chaos Guardian attacking Marik.  Thinking fast, he grabs the Guardian's leg with his Ki Whip, spoiling his aim on Marik, but sending him straight toward Aki.

OOC: Well, Chaos Guardians don't have Ki, but would Laser blasts work? He hasn't used his weapons yet, aside from his sword. =P

The Chaos Guardian raised an eyebrow as he flew toward Aki, and then smirked, and frowned again, as he crashed into the barrier, with a thud.
"... That is fail." The Chaos Guardian muttered, as he thought for a moment.

Just FYI, Mariks starting to loose control here... any chance of some of that inner ki stuff happening?

OOC: Laser blasts would totally work.

IC: Given a moment to recover, Aki concentrates on the barrier, trying to figure out how it was created.  It felt like the power was just within reach, if only he could remember...

OOC: After we fight here a bit, have the CG launch us across the campus to the science building.  I have an idea for that, but we might need Kazuki (or at least an old colleague of his who looks suspiciously like Grant Imahara...)  In the meantime, tho, Aki's gonna be pretty inactive in this area, given that he still hasn't figured out how to increase gravity and there's not a lot of heavy/explosive stuff to throw around here.  In the meantime, tho...

IC (random guy): Meanwhile, a drunk college student wakes up from his nap on a bench.  "Fire?  WOHOO!!  BURN STUFF!!!!!"  He says drunkly.  Just then a blast of sand burst into a shower of molten glass.  "YAY!  FIREWORKS!!!"  *Begins to sing Katy Perry's "Firework" in a horrible, drunk, off-key voice.

OOC: Someone shut him up and make a remark about the singing.

The Chaos Guardian glared at the person, and shot a blast of sand at him; enough to shut him up, but not actively damage him.
"Your singing is terrible. Consider that a gift." The Chaos Guardian muttered.

Permission granted, though I don't really want the Chaos Code absorbed right at this moment...(Since that'd nullify the next chapter, even if that's a short and not truly plot relevant one. =P) I can set up something that could be used in the next two chapters, however, if you want to use the Data Drain. =P

The Chaos Guardian rolled his eyes, as he sent an uppercut toward Marik.

The CG's progress was slowed by the rack that molten glass was continually running off of him, but he still managed to stay in the fight. Marik, however, was starting to glow the same color as his ki - not as in sick green, but literally glowing with ki. He did look a bit woozy tho.

The Chaos Guardian smirked, even though the heat was likely getting to him a bit, and aimed to kick Marik away this time.

IC: "Marik?  You OK?" Aki reached out a hand to touch Marik's shoulder--

Flashes.  A battle.  A face, so close yet so far...

Aki jerked his head up.  Something was wrong...something he somehow knew about...

"Hang on, buddy."  Trying something new, he gently grabs Marik's shoulder with his Ki Whip and tries to channel some of his own energy into his companion.

Marik's ki flared brighter. His vision hazed over with green, and then in his mind's eye, he was looking at himself. He realized half his mind was on the battle, half his mind was.... no, that's not quite right. He was looking at himself, but that person wasn't him. not quite anyways. He also felt that the part of him fighting the battle was half him, half this other him. "Hello Marik" his other self said to him, with a wicked smile.


OOC: do you approve, blade?

OOC: Looking good so far. However; usually when this happens, you'd fall unconscious, but given that this is in a Chaos Guardian fight, unless you stop time, you'd get owned. =P

-==IC: Matt & M'raize==-

 M'raize and Matt flew down the side of the cliff, ending with a cruch as they hit the snow on bottom. M'raize, was on top. Matt lay choking and gasping, his own knife embedded deep inside his chest. M'raize rolled off of him, and stood up gingerly. "Why?" Matt croaked quietly, coughing. "Why did you change sides?" M'raize looked away.
 "I met some people who showed me what it is fight for good." M'raize said. "I met a girl who liked me, and I met a man who had answers for me." He kneeled down next to Matt. "I always knew I couldn't follow through with your plan, and now I know why."
 Matt laughed weakly. "At least..." He coughed for a few seconds, now in his final death throes. "End it quick..." M'raize stared down at him and grasped his hand.
 "I'm glad it was me at the end." M'raize whispered, looking at Matt.
 Matt nodded. "Tell the girl... I .... ah... apologize." He strained to breath.
 M'raize nodded back. He knelt there until Matt stopped breathing, and his pulse slowed to a stop. "Goodbye... brother."
 M'raize walked towards the cliff, and teleported back to where Sakeo and Skye were. It was over.

"Is it over?" Sakeo asked, having transformed back to his normal form since he had teleported away.

Skye didn't wait for M'raise to answer. She walked/ran over and gave him a huge hug. "That was very brave." She said softly.

B-But I did most of the work... Sakeo thought to himself, as he tried to figure out how Sakeo fighting Matt off mostly equaled M'Raize being brave.
