Neo grunted, as the kick managed to knock his sword out of his hand, the sword stained with blood. However; he was not injured in the least. Kali, however, dropped to the ground, her face suddenly abnormally pale. The problem was, of course, that Neo had in fact stabbed her as Aki attempted to pull her away; and by doing so, as well as kicking Neo's hand, the sword had simply sliced through her left side, from the stab wound.

Kali, however, had seen something odd. As Aki had moved toward her, to save her, she had thought he looked like Kaze, almost. And as Aki kicked away Neo's sword, the image she saw appeared to alternate between the real image of Aki, and the false, odd image, of Kaze, for whatever reason. However, she quickly fell unconscious, due to her major injury to her side...

OOC: Ouch. Just curious, Flipz, have you ever watched Doctor Who?

OOC: Not watched, I've done research, tho.  I keep meaning to do an epic Doctor Who marathon at one point.  (Of course, the irritating thing is that none of the episodes are fully available on YouTube, so I can't do it that way--I tried to watch Blink, and half of it had been taken down by DCMA.

OOC: Dang. =/ Figures, since I don't recall being able to find any at times either, but...

Anyway, basically, the point of that question was that there are 'fixed points in time'; which cannot be changed at all.

This is one of them. =P So, while that was a very good idea in theory(So is the move Kaze pulls in the main timeline. =P), it doesn't exactly work well in practice, when the main villain's pulling a Sephiroth. =P

InAki opens his mouth in a silent scream, but, unskilled in his healing, takes another tack: He shoves Kali into Kazuki, then takes a step back and flattens Neo with his Gravity.

At that moment, a flood of water bursts forth, whipped into a frenzy by a simultaneous, blinding sandstorm.  As Neo's sword bounces off the wall, InAki raises a hand to protect his face, but the blade just bounces harmlessly off his skin.  "What the--?"

Neo, however, just stood there, unamused and unaffected by the gravity.
"How... Intriguing. And yet it hasn't overloaded you..." Neo said, a look of interest on his face. However, as he dashed forward quickly, Kai appeared in front of Neo, and blocked his blow quickly.
"Get out of here! Now!" Kai yelled to Aki, as he kicked Neo back, teleported over to Kali and Kazuki, and then teleported away to the rendezvous point.

OOC: Just follow Kai, and chapter 6 is in the history books. =D Chapter 7 will be much more interesting now. And I really need to get my mental shields examined. xD

InAki takes a moment to drop a black hole at the end of the hallway, his combined powers sending devastating waves of water and sand racing through the building and shattering countless metal structures, before teleporting after Kai.

-==Chris==-
Awakening near the roof, Chris sees a number of Chaos Hunters armed with sniper rifles, pointing out towards a group of escaping Chosen Ones.  The noise attracts the attention of their commander.  "What the--look out, he's still alive!  Send reinforcements!"

Five minutes later, a group of Chaos Hunters burst through the stairway onto the roof, to find twelve dead Hunters, one of them impaled with a sword of pure diamond.

OOC: Fin.

Neo stood amongst the building that was quickly being destroyed, smashing away a falling steel block easily; also slicing it in half in the process.
How very intriguing. Neo thought with a malicious smile, as he continued to destroy stuff in his back back to the top, turning to a random Hunter on the way.
"Get the builders in here. I want a better tower constructed by the time I return."

OOC: You know, I completely forgot about the takeover, seemingly, whenever I plan out the next chapter's ending. It's just, odd, let's put it that way. =P

One week timeskip, the second last time skip because I fail at remembering the times when this takes place, and we can start up, but for now, just IC Aki getting back to the rendezvous place... You won't believe where we're setting up shop this time. >=D

OOC: Chapter 7 -- A Surprise Enemy

-==IC: Kai//Unknown Chosen One Base==-

-One Week Later-

Kai walked through the makeshift base, thinking over everything that had happened, as he sighed.
We certainly messed that up, didn't we. Kai thought, as he felt a slight bump through the base, but ignored it, as he headed further in.
We should've known it was a trap, or, at least gotten back to the base sooner... If we had; none of this wouldn't have happened. Kai thought, as he leaned against a nearby wall, and noticed Sakeo walking by.
"Hey." Kai said, and Sakeo nodded back, not saying anything else, however. Kai looked further down the hallway, and walked in, hoping news was good.

-==IC: ?==-

"Kali... Get up, Kali... You need to fight; they can't do this on their own. Now... Wake up! Kali!"

-==IC: Kai(6 days Earlier)==-

Kai sat near where Kali was. It was still too early to tell what would happen, considering she had been very near to dying in the first place, and it was only quick work from Aki that had prevented a fatal wound right away... However, the injury she suffered in the end wasn't exactly much better, and she was still in a coma at that moment. Sakeo walked in with a frown.
"How is she?" Sakeo asked, and Kai sighed.
"Dunno. The technicians said they repaired all they could, but... That was a serious wound. It's not something you can heal fully; if at all." Kai said, and the two stood in silence for a moment, before Kai stood up, and began to walk out of the room.
"Where are you going?" Sakeo hissed quietly, as Kai turned his head slightly.
"Just waiting here won't do anything to help. Besides..." Kai said, as he began to turn back.
"She's going to make it. She has to stay alive... She was chosen over Sonia; and that caused Sonia to be captured. She has to repay the debt she owes Sonia, by helping to find her. That's why I'm certain she's going to survive... Because no-one would forgive her if she died now." Kai said, a grim look on his face, and Sakeo wondered how much of that Kai actually believed, but simply let him walk off.

-==IC: Kai(4 Days Earlier)==-

Kai walked through the base, toward where Kali's room was, however, he simply frowned, and walked by. However, as he passed by the door, his eyes caught a glimpse of an odd figure in the room; a cloak surrounding him, obscuring his features. Kai stopped, and backed up, but, as he looked through the door, he didn't see anyone out of the ordinary.
Odd... Kai thought, as he shook his head, and walked out of the room.

-==IC: Kai(Now)==-

Kai walked into the room, and smiled slightly, even as Kali opened her eyes and groaned, even as she winced.
"Well now, look who finally woke up." Kai commented, not being able to hide the relief that was on his face. Kali blinked in Kai's direction, and nodded.
"What happened...?" Kali asked, and started to attempt to get up, but Kai shook his head with a frown.
"I wouldn't recommend getting up yet. You're still not fully healed." Kai said, and Kali frowned, a look of confusion on her face, as Kai sighed.
"Thanks to... Neo... You were nearly cut in half." Kai said, and Kali's eyes widened, as she nodded, understanding what Kai was saying now.
"Luckily, you survived. The doctors say you were very, very lucky. Not only did Neo miss your heart by mere inches; but your spine wasn't touched at all." Kai explained, and Kali nodded once more, relieved as well about that, as she didn't exactly wish to be paralyzed, after all.

OOC: Long post, on par with some of the actual story segments at some points, I think. xD

Suddenly, InAki reappeared in the room.  Once again, there was an eruption of elements, but InAki did a fair job of keeping it under control, all things considered.  "I sensed your Ki presence resume its former vitality.  Are you no longer injured?"

"She's still injured." Kai said, as Kali began to open her mouth to reply.
"The wound was serious, so she's still recovering, though she might be well enough to move. She only just woke up from her coma, though." Kai pointed out, as Kali nodded. Kai paused, however.
"What's with the multiple elements? That doesn't seem normal..." Kai mentioned with a slight frown.

OOC: I wanted to mention about the location, since it's awesome, but that can wait for a few posts more if needed. =P

"I'm...not sure.  Aki apparently knows a few things I don't about Ki.  The irony is not lost on me."  He sighs.  "Still, 'tis best not to look the proverbial gift horse in the mouth.  I'd best train to learn to separate and/or, failing that, to control them."  He pauses, reflecting.  "Kai...is everyone here?  Or did we lose people as well as the city?  Was anyone...taken?" he asks with more than a little trepidation.

"Some people were taken, but no-one we've really known that well." Kai said, and Shiro yawned from the doorway.
"I'm here, don't worry. You're not getting rid of me that easily." Shiro said with a smirk, as he walked in, and frowned.
"All our most powerful fighters are still here."

Marik walked in. he still looked singed, and tired, but he carried himself like he was ready to take on the world. Overhearing the last part, he answered, "Most of them, anyways."

Kai frowned.
"Well, there is Sonia and Kaze... But, both of those are different cases; since it happened before the attack." Kai pointed out.

OOC: I'm gonna just say nothing happened to the PCs who are idle right now. =P Only the Red Shirts had anything happen to them. xD

Marik looked at kai. His body language clearly stated that he wanted to slap him, or worse.

Kai felt himself getting heavier, his shoes started to feel wet and his pants felt like they were full of sand.  InAki doesn't appear to be consciously doing anything, but he looks severely ticked off.
