Is it worth getting a laptop for school? I've been offered one by the school but I just don't see the advantage of having one.

You're insane if you don't see the advantages.
Because the Internet is simultaneously the best and the worst source of information you can get. Mainly the best if you look in the right places. (Don't give me that 'wikipedia is bad' stuff.) And if you get to keep it ACCEPT IT. Laptops are great. (unless you run into a problem)
You're not going to believe how useful you will find it.
Yay, no school tomorrow. Stupid compulsory non Maths and English GCSEs. Citizenship... my new most hated lesson.
Biology-one of my new favourite lessons
Physics-better than expected
Chemistry-Thank you, teacher, for not going on about how difficult everything will be and how it will affect our lives, and getting straight to the point of your lessons without complicating it so only another Chemistry teacher could understand it.
Maths-New teacher: way better than my old maths teacher.
English: Meh.
BTEC ICT/ICT: Dear Teacher: stop referring to us Students as if we were completely dumb. You may be The Supreme Overlord (long story) but we're not dumb.
History: Dear Teacher: If you keep on going on about how History is one of the Hardest subjects then it WILL be the hardest subject. Could you give us CONFIDENCE instead?
Geography: Teacher: You are good and sane. Thank you for just a passing mention of 'some students consider Geography hard' unlike the History teacher with History.
And all I had yesterday was History and Physics... two History lessons followed by two Physics lessons followed by one History lesson followed by one Physics lesson. WHAT. Why the separation?
