@BT: Excellent. That looks just about how I would raise a Dragonite.
Although, it never hurts to put Earthquake on a Pokemon.
Earthquake is, in my opinion, essential to have at least once in every team. If you put it somewhere else, that's always good, too. And of course, Salamance is always a bit more adept to Attack and Speed than Dragonite, so I suppose putting Earthquake on him would also have justification.
EQ is 80 Battle Points on the Battle Tower, and that's expensive, especially since I... Hey. I could beat the Tower Tycoon like 3 times to get enough BP to buy one
. Using a Pokemon that knows Pickup is pretty daunting too, as finding TM26 AKA Earthquake is only 1%.
And Dragonite is more on the Defensive side, so a Yache berry would be suitable for it. Basically a Defensive Salamence. And I just could clone on my Emerald for the TM26s, though it is very risky.
