Caught Zapdos.....

@RP-warning-longish post
Mamoswine is slow...
I caught Heatran with 4 dusk balls, after paralysing him and weakening it.
Yeah....the Elite Four's levels go up significantly now.....

For my three remaining slots I'm looking for:
a water type (Sharpedo or Crawdaunt)
a fire type (Infernape or Magmortar
and a fighting or steel type (Gallade or someone)
OK,you will prefer.....Crawdaunt if you want pure Atack,Sharpedo if you want attack and Speed wit no defense. I suggest Crawdaunt,as,although it isn't a whole lot better,if you don't mind sacrificing speed,it can actually stand a chance against a strong attack. Sharpedo has a high base speed, while Crawdaunt is lsower. Crawdaunt can learn powerful moves like Crabhammer,Crunch, etc. As i have been saying, the main difference is speed and Attacks, maybe defense. Sharpedo is basiclally done if you can attack before it,and if my Infernape used Close Combat,it would be over.

For a fire type,go with Infernape. He has excellent speed and is good in both Attacks. Teach him powerful moves like Close Combat and Flare Blitz, you will sacrifice stats but crsh your opponents.

For the fighting/steel thing,i reccomend Lucario. Good all-around,has moves with power and Accuracy, etc. Aura Sphere is a great move to know, and i also suggest Dark Pulse and Psychic.

Oh,and the Ice thing, you will probably want Froslass. GREAT speed.

That's true, but there both weak to fire. I recomend a Swampert for the Ice type. It has only one pure weakness (grass) and as I know, it can learn Ice Beam, Avalanche, and Blizzard.

Flint...
Do you mean seen or caught? And to catch Uxie and Azelf, use Dusk balls at night. You will get a much better chance since you will be in a cave and at night. If you can, catch Uxie first or get someone who can put Azelf to sleep. Here's how I'd go about catching them:
Uxie:
Get 15 Dusk Balls.
A Sneasel that knows false swipe(or another pkmn, but Sneasel is dark typed and learns FS).
A pkmn that can put Uxie to Sleep.
Save before fighting.
Weaken Uxie w/ Sneasel, then switch out to someone who can put Uxie to sleep.
When Uxie is asleep, at 1hp, and at night, catching should be no prob, unless you're really unlucky.

Azelf:
Now that you have Uxie(which knows Yawn), get a pkmn w/ disable, as well as you're Sneasle w/ FS and the 15 Duskballs(or more, it shouldn't take more than 15 tho.)
Send out Sneasel first and get Azelf down to 1 hp.
Send out the pkmn you have that knows disable. Use disable and hope that Azelf uses Uproar. If it uses uproar than you're lucky. If not, then keep trying to disable that move.
Once Uproar is disable try and get Azelf to sleep(using Uxie's yawn or another move).
Throw Dusk Balls(at night!).

Paralysis works too, but as he said, not as well. You won't need to disable Azelf if you're using Paralysing moves, which may make it easier. I caught Uxie w/ 1 dusk ball, while it was paralysed and still had a bit of hp left, so it shouldn't be too hard. Make sure when fighting Azelf that your pkmb can survive tho...

@MN: thanks. My team(other than Togekiss and Crawdaunt) will be built on Speed then... And yes, Sharpedo is very frail...
@0PC0: Then I will have 2 water types... But yeah, I see you're point. 1/2 my team would be weak to fire...

Water Type:
-- There's a reason Sharpedo is a UU Pokemon: Its defenses are very frail, and because of this, it won't last long in battle.
Instead, go with Starmie:
  1. It has higher Defenses than a Sharpedo, and its Sp. Attack isn't bad at all for Base 100 Sp. Attack.
  2. It can learn WAY more moves than a Sharpedo, from Grass Knot to Thunderbolt, both great options for a Starmie.
  3. Starmie has a HP-Recovering move, making it last longer in battle, unlike Sharpedo(I'm pretty sure Sharpedo doesn't have a recovery move, but I'm not 100% sure).
Crawdaunt's speed makes it unsuitable for battling, and a Kingler has higher Attack and Speed. However, Dark STAB always finds a way around "Bulky Waters".

Fire type:
-- Go with Infernape, as he suggests. He has a high Attack stats, along with Speed, but look out for its Defenses. If you want more power for less defenses and Speed, Blaziken is your choice. However, many would prefer Infernape, but Blaziken isn't half bad either.

Fighting/Steel:
-- Lucario isn't a bad choice, and it's your choice to make it a Special or Physical sweeper. Its defenses aren't the greatest, but it still is a good choice for any team. If you're using Starmie, don't go with Gallade, since Psychic is already covered.
-- For Steel, Scizor is great. Even though I personally don't own him (Thanks, I don't have a friend to trade with), but from experience, it is one of the best Bug types there is. A weakness to Fire is its only problem.

All in all, those are my recommendations, so if you really want Sharpedo, I can't make you choose what you want.

You guys mind defining "sweeper" and the like? I think I know what you mean, but I'm not sure.

You guys mind defining "sweeper" and the like? I think I know what you mean, but I'm not sure.
Hopefully this is right:
Physical Sweeper: High attack, good speed, high attack moves. (eg. Electivire or Lucario)
Special Sweeper: High SpAttack, good speed, high SpAttack moves. (Lucario or Alakazam)
Physical Wall: High defences, Recovering mves + status inflicting moves. (... Bastiodon has high defences...)
Special Wall: High SpDefences, Recovering moves + status infilcting moves. (Blissey)

There are other names, but those are the main ones I think.
ParaFlinch(as I've been describing my Togekiss) means that you paralyze the foe then use a move that makes the pkmn flinch. Goes hand in hand with a pkmn who has serene grace as an ability.
Rapid Spinner? I don't know this one. Mind explaining?
There are probably others. Hopefully what I posted was useful and correct...

Ah. Okay, makes sence. I guess I better go look for a Staryu then. I guess if I'm not putting Sharpedo or Crawdaunt on my team then Weavile can stay. That would leave me with:

Leafeon
Electivire
Togekiss
Starmie
Weavile

and Infernape, maybe.

Go to the GTS to trade. Just breed your current starter Pokemon to get its basic form (Piplup, in that case). Then, offer it onto Wi-Fi for a starter Pokemon of your choice (I recommend you go with a Turtwig or Chimchar rather than Torterra or Monferno or a Female of a species). Overnight, someone will trade with you.

Also there are:
~ Phazers - These Pokemon use Whirlwind or Roar to prevent opposing Pokemon to set up stat boosting moves (Calm Ming, Swords Dance, etc.) A famous Phazer would be Skarmory.
~ Rapid Spin Blockers - Basically any Ghost type Pokemon, as they can "block Rapid Spin" just like their name since Rapid Spin is a Normal move. An example of a Rapid Spin Blocker would be Gengar.
~ Baton Passers - These Pokemon have a Stat Boosting move along with Baton Pass to "pass" Stat Boosting moves to another Pokemon to accompany sweeping. An example would be Jolteon or Umbreon.

I do not have wi-fi...
And my bro resets his game every so often, and if you can breed starters then I'll just breed my starters from Pearl, or my bro's from diamond.

Off the GTS, I traded a Murkrow for a Misdreavus, however the Misdreavus was caught in a Master Ball. I suspect it was a hack, or perhaps an Action Replay user, but I'm not too sure. I still am sensitive about AR Pokemon, so I guess I'll have to release it eventually.

Pokeball - Master Ball
Misdreavus - Level 10 - Female
OT - Camille
ID - 48989
Docile nature.

Wormadam:
Route 213 I think - A  Beauty trainer has all 3 kinds of Wormadam on her team.
Or
Catch a FEMALE Burmy and raise it to Lvl. 20

Kricketune:
Can be found in the Trophy Garden, more common at night.

Current 'Dex stats: 345 seen, 243 captured. This includes any and all legendaries. I don't think I'm doing half bad. Roll Eyes

304 seen, 284 captured.

@ddude - Sudowoodo I think are found in Route 221 in Platinum. For Happiny, you hatch the egg a Traveler gave you in Hearthome City. Or a Breeder in Route 209.

Would Ice Punch/Thunder Punch be a good option for Gallade?

By EvMin I mean the Oak's Letter event Shaymin, that was released today for Japanese players...
