Working on Stark Mountain. I will soon have Heatran.

Also,i am training a Shellgon. Decided it would be better than Togekiss.

For Electivire, go with Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Cross Chop, and Earthquake.  Give an Expert Belt as a hold item, because it hits 13 of the 17 types super-effectively, so capitalize on that.  As for Gallade, ditch Leaf Blade for Close Combat.  Even if Leaf Blade is super-effective, it'll still have the same power of an even neutral Close Combat.  Close Combat is far better.  It has STAB, it hits a far wider variety of Pokemon hard, and has a great base power to begin with.  The other moves are good, but switch Leaf Blade out for Close Combat.
Thanks. I still need to train both of those pkmn, so I don't have the ability to get them all of those moves just yet.

Ah, Togekiss. I think I want that pkmn in my team. Kinda.
Team Update:
Electivire lv 51
Gallade lv 47
Empoleon lv 73
Leafeon lv 75
Weavile lv 70

Infernape lv 60
Togepi lv 10 -> Togekiss
Magmar lv 28 ->Magmortar
Salamance lv 100

The last four are just possibilities of what may take the 6th spot on my team, and I ma switch out Empoleon for another one of them... the arros show what they are to become.

Well then, turn it into a Special Attack user. That is its best stat, after all. Roll Eyes

Salemence is just stronger overall, and it doesn't learn many Special moves.

You put an Ice type move on half your team and their Salamance goes down the drain. =P

what advice? I can't find it.

And Togekiss knows strong moves. Return delivers a one-hit KO,when it hits(darned Hustle),and Aura Sphere is pretty effective. And the team i have has work GREAT in the Battle Frontier. The point is,i do my own thing.

Stuck trying to catch Heatran.

well, for torterra, he always suggests wood hammer, and earthquake is really powerful.

good advice, but my Electivire knows Brick Break, which is fairly similar to Cross Chop. Ice Punch is just to hard to get,i can't get enough shards. Appreciate the help, but I'm going to stay as is.

Also, for the Salamence vs. Ice type problem, one word-Flamethrower.

I can teach a Luxray the move Ice Fang. Flamethrower doesn't help you there.
My point is, Ice type moves are not limited to Ice Type Pokemon. Wink

Thanks. Smiley
Although I don't usually use stat-boosting moves, I suppose they could be helpful in the long run. Usually I just go "Attack, Attack, ATTACK!" =P

@DB: yeah, I normally follow the same plan as DB, but I'm sure having tha stat boosting moves will be helpful in the long run, which is why I'm gonna start using them.
My Togetic is lv 37 I think, and my Electivire is lv 52, my Gallade lv 53(it now knows Close Combat).
I haven't gone for Heatran yet, although I'll probably have him by the end of the week. I need to trade the three Regis into Platinum before I can get Gigas. Then I'll begin the quest for the 5 runners.

Only use Flamethrower if your Salamence is Special-based. If it is Physical-based, use Stone Edge.

I would suggest trying at night with a fast electric pkmn that knows Thunder Wave. Using Thunderwave, then weakening him, and using Dusk Balls should make him easy to catch. I caught Palkia, Dialga, Uxie and Rotom using only 4 duskballs total at night and using Yawn to put pkmn to sleep. Dialga and Palkia don't really count since they have easy catch rates, and so does Rotom, I believe, but Uxie was really easy to catch.

BTW, I just noticed that Rotom backwards is Motor... I guess that would explain how he can make those appliances work, if all that they are missing is a motor...

BTW#2: what is a good moveset for Togekiss and Magmortar. Both are Special based right?

About Dusk Balls: It doesn't matter if it's night or not if you're in a cave. They will have a x4 capture rate regardless. Wink

BTW#2: what is a good moveset for Togekiss and Magmortar. Both are Special based right?
Togekiss
~ Nasty Plot/Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Thunder Wave
~ Aura Sphere
~ Air Slash
~ Roost

Note that Nasty Plot is an Egg Move. If you don't want to waste time with egg moves or your Togepi/Togetic/Togekiss is male, go for the other options.

Magmortar
~ Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Overheat
~ Thunderbolt
~ Focus Blast
~ Hidden Power Ice

Magmortar is pretty slow, but can dish out some hefty damage from its pretty high Sp. Attack.

Do you mean the first time through or second? I've beaten both, and now use the E4 as training/Exp Share training...

@BT: thanks. I'll have to check out my Togekiss and see what gender it is. I want it to learn Nasty Plot, and I think I need to switch its effect thing from Hustle(dumb hustle) to serene grace as he said.
And what do you mean by Hidden Power Ice?
