Speaking of contests, is anyone having trouble with the Master Rank? My Milotic has MAX Beauty, but she gets fourth place in the contests  >_>

Any tips?

Make sure you have a Blue Scarf. That'll get you a boost. In addition, make sure you have a good nature, namely Modest/Quiet/Rash/Mild.

During the first round, be sure to use accessories that fit the theme. If you can pause the game and tell me the theme, I can give you some accessories to use.

During the dance portion, Make sure you follow the lead Pokemon's dance exactly. This takes practice. When it's your turn, be sure to use all 4 castanets. Leave some long gaps between hits, and hit them on the dark lines, both of which might throw the others off. Finally, make sure to end on a blue castanet. This'll make your Pokemon briefly cover the pink score, which might throw them off if you made a move at the very beginning of the blue score.

Finally, be sure to make a good performance. Choose moves that benefit the contest, try to get the voltage maxed out, etc. etc.

If HG/SS has contests I hope they don't interfere with the original map... they should add islands(like in FRLG) to have the contests on...

Herochild: Well, maybe it'll be so that you can change it without it getting all messed up like in D/P/Pt(That gets annoying >_>)? And I dunno... =/ Not sure what they could really do with it. And the Unknown weren't really that hard to get in D/P/Pt... Isn't there only one place to track them down in GSC?

Mata Nui: Just because you don't like them doesn't mean others don't, but I do agree about the battling part being nice to have as an addition...

RP: 0_o Which pic? the one I posted? That was from G/S/C, I posted as a comparison to show just how evolved it is =) And if that's what you're saying and I totally misread your post... Whoops. >_>'' The starter issue will be interesting... I wonder if any other Pokemon(Gallade?) can do that, or if it's just until you get back to the lab after fighting Silver?

Question about the power items: Does it lower the Speed stat, or Speed EVs?

Speed stat. It'd be counterproductive for the one that raises the Speed EVs. =P It's like an iron ball.

That's annoying... If it lowered the EV, it'd make things much easier. =P

But here's the thing; if you switch out the Pokemon, it still gains all the Evs it would if it had've stayed in, and you get to obliterate the poor hapless Pokemon you're fighting with your strongest Pokemon, in my case either Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina(I've been using those to fight the 4 near Mr. Backlot's mansion...  ). =P

Good job B~T. The last time I did that was in Emerald... I think I won 4 or five master ranks... although back then there was only battle moves to compete with, plus however many pkblocks you put on...

@Blade: Yeah, I meant the pic you posted of GSC was way different from Serebii's pic... brings back odd memories...

I finished EV training my Electivire. I'm trying to breed the rest of the Eeveelutions. Which natures should I go for( I need Eevee and everything but Leafeon...)

If anyone here doesn't believe me, I have proof right here.

For the Smart Contests, my Level 50 Banette is an easy victory. Just catch one at Route 225/226 at night. Of course, you have to apply Pokeblock/Poffins in effect if you want to win.

Smart ~ Sucker Punch -- Appeals first in next turn
Smart ~ Shadow Ball --  +2 if appealed first.
Smart ~ Faint Attack -- +2 if appealed last.

You should easily formulate a strategy with this moveset depending on whether you are first, 2nd, 3rd, or last.
