You've got a point there. =P

Apparently there's only two attacks per Pokemon though, but you can update the attacks. From what I heard on Serebii of course.

Uh...dude? What are you TALKING about? I know nothing of this new game you speak of. And MPR was pretty lame,in my opinion. Alsso,Kirby Super Star Ultra was short, but fun because of The Arena.

*loooks at game, reads info* *unimpressed* The graphics look pretty awful, and i don't really get the purpose of it. Deja vu of Mystery dungeon to me.

i don't really keep up with pokemon news-I've been obsessed with Wii Sports Resort and E3 at the moment. And besides, this game doesn't even show up on Wikipedia  Roll Eyes

Ok,

A.i do not have a bad knowledge of games. I happen to have a very good intuition, and i judge games well-okay,maybe i set my expectations too high for wii Music, but i know a good game when i see one. I've returned 2 games in my life. Boom Blox,(overrated, the sequel is a dumb idea),Backyard Baseball. And wiiWare isn't exactly where it's at with games.

B.Jump the gun?!? Whats that supposed to mean? And i do ALL my reaserch on Wiki. I regard it higher than google in most cases.

He's right about Serebii being better than Wiki. In fact, Wikipedia'd probably be at the bottom between Serebii, Bulbapedia, and Google. Google because you can quickly find new stuff. Serebii because you get news and tons of info. Bulbapedia because it's dedicated to Pokemon info and can be updated instantly.

Agreed. If you Wikipedia Pokemon, your going to get info on Pokemon in general, not game info. Bulbapedia contains that kind of stuff, but Serebii is WAY more useful than Bulbapedia, but that doesn't make it a bad source. Google is OKAY, but chances are that it will lead you to Serebii or Bulbapedia.

I also know a few sites that contain useful things:
Walkthroughs- http://www.psypokes.com
Pokedex- Uh, Serebii, but http://www.psypokes.com includes In-game Pokemon cries, as well as a Guide to breeding for egg moves.
IV/DV calculator- http://www.metalkid.info/pokemon/OnlineProgram/Calculators/IV.aspx has an advanced Calculator, since it tells you the possible IVs of the Pokemon, rather than give you the chances that it has this certain IV, unlike Serebii.

EDIT: How'd I get Spam Check??

EDIT: How'd I get Spam Check??
It happens to me too. IT involves possting urls....

I'm setting my expectaitions too high because i do not buy just any game. I spend WEEKS looking at reviews before i play it. Tes,i know wiiWare isn't supposed to be SPECTACULAR games, but they could at least put some more effort into it. And look, dude,Graphics are big for telling how a game is. You can't play the game if you're too busy puking at how the animation is Roll Eyes I do admit you probably have me beat on all else though. Although i could have phrased how i use Wikipedia a little bit more clearly. I do all my NON-POKEMON research there. I do pokemon research on Bulbapedia. But if you think Serbii is SOOO great,I'll try it. And i edit Wiki fairly often,I'm pretty sure i don't fall under the category of N00B.

Whoa, big post.

Quote
Heck, give me an 8-bit game, so long as it has good plotline and functionality.
Agree with you there, and one WiiWare 8-bit game I'd like to play, actually, is Megaman 9, which goes back to it's roots, which includes 8-bit graphics.

But really, how'd we get this far from the announcement of an epic Pokemon battle game that looks awesome, but has cel-shaded Mii-like graphics? 0_o

Ok seriously, are you trying to use your debating skills to make this hard for me? If so,mission accomplished. I would respond, but you'll just find SOME WAY to win this arguement. Let me just comment about a few of your points-

Quote
So you're saying that as long as a game has good graphics, the plotline and functionality of the game don't matter?  You're saying that nothing else matters except how good the graphics are, and if they suck, then it's bad?  Entire brands and franchises have tried to use that mindset in making their games, and have crashed and burned horribly.  And honestly, that's to say that all games before the games of today sucked, because their graphics are nothing compared to today's.  Heck, give me an 8-bit game, so long as it has good plotline and functionality.  I couldn't care less about how a game looks.  That's an aesthetic part of the game.  It's not as important.  It's like saying that there are some really nice people in the world, but if they're ugly, you wouldn't date them.  It's a bad mindset to use.
I am in no way saying that the graphics are the only important thing. I am just simply expressing my opinion that a game is made better when it has graphics that are lifelike. In fact,i love a game with a good plot. Look at Paper Mario. That game had subpar graphics, and i loved it.

Quote
*Sigh*...Because ddude started dissing this new game, as well as Nintendo and WiiWare titles in general.
I did NOT diss this game. I just siad it didn't make much of a first impression on me.

Yeah, but I never made the connection until I started searching for the Japanese names of the starters and Legendaries and found it. =P

For those who don't know, Torterra's Japanese name is Dotaitos.  I remember one time on SerebiiForums (back when we only knew Japanese names for fourth generation Pokemon) when someone said "I'm going to have Doritos on my team."  I responded saying "Well I'll have Fritos then. Tongue "

You download it from the Wii store, then play it from the start menu, like the other WiiWare games. Wink
