Made this in GIMP after some 20 minutes, made stars in Paint, blured them a bit so they looked like stars and added a Death Star.

Cheesy Cheesy Yep.... Gimp is a very good SVG software, some comparing it to photoshop, the thing that I prefer on photoshop is its GUI, and UI, and its design is very great for the environment. Personally if your new to SVGing then use photoshop, your friends will think your a pro, but when you use gimp, you need much more experience, and don't make me start on adobe illustrator. >.>

Totally awesome, Rakoua.. the stars do look natural, and the explosion, with the death star near by.. epic!

Looks very nice, though you can see the rectangle around the Death Star. This could make a nice desktop background. Cheesy

Yeah, I'm currently at my grandparents and they have a CRT and none of the stars are visible...
On LCDs you can see them beautifly, tho...

actually, I see the stars.. just they are cheezy to me, or a little.... blurred. But to see the stars you need to be very close to the screen to see the, to actually determine they are there. But anywho, it is there, and I can see it.

Thanks!
It's fairly easy in GIMP, whitout the stars it took me only some 20 minutes, and I'm sure I can do it in 10.

Nice.

Just a question.

Why does it seem that the Death Star has a Square-ish background to it?

Nice.

Just a question.

Why does it seem that the Death Star has a Square-ish background to it?
Because I added it as a final touch and forgot to blend it in?

Very good, I like the stars a lot. The planet looks great (better then I could do Tongue) but somehow it just doesn't seem very natural... Anyway, great job!
