"Everyone ready?" Lloyd asked over the comms, as the green mech shot up into the sky. Lloyd scanned the screens; it was operating at about 35-50%, fluctuating between the two values.
I can probably reinforce it. Lloyd thought, as he gripped the controls, and invoked Over Drive, and then drew his Beam Saber, as he aimed for one of the hangars, and quickly fired at it, and then switched his target to one of the turrets, and fired off three shots at that.

The Kel-Aviron's shield generators blocked Lloyd's attacks as the enemy mechs attacked.

Lloyd narrowed his eyes, as sliced through three of the incoming mechs, while targeting the shield generators with the second screen, and then shifted his gun to fire off three shots at one of the generators, intending to pierce through it.

The generator exploded, but there were plenty more.

By this time the rest of the rebels had launched and were joining the fight.

Lloyd dashed forward in the air, and scanned the battleship. He locked onto three more generators, and fired three consecutive shots at them quickly.
"Power Level dropping..." The mech's HUD said, and Lloyd scowled, and instead of stopping, simply shot more shots at the other shield generators. He turned his head quickly, as the radar picked up three more mechs.
"Heh; think we'd miss a fight!?" Barry asked, as he gripped his laser cannon, and sent a large shot off at a group of mechs. It was kinda obvious what damage his mech had taken, however, as the two other mechs with him were carrying his mech... For it had no legs. The other two mechs were alternating blasts, and as Lloyd looked, he realized he didn't recognize the mechs.
"Who are you?" Lloyd asked over the comm, as Drake and Bridget's laughter sounded out, though one at a time, obviously.
"It's us. We found hidden mechs from when some of the Imperials who had switched sides in the last big fight, well, switched. Our actual mechs were destroyed, unfortunately. Or, well, Bridget's borrowed mech." Drake said, as he rubbed in the fact that she had taken Patch's mech. One was the Pulse, and one was the Break, as Drake's new mech was using the built-in shoulder cannons, instead of a handheld laser rifle.

OOC: New mechs for everyone, more or less. =P

[The Truth]

Several dozen enemy mechs exploded.
(Rose): "HA! This mech might not have as many guns as mine, but it can still vape empire mechs!"

(Leo): "Locking onto target...Take that!"

(Jared): "Anyone seen Luna?"

(Leo): "She's fine. She's...well, you'll see."

Lloyd frowned, as he looked around.
"On top of that; has anyone seen Light? I haven't seen him since the fight started..." Lloyd started to say, but then wished he hadn't, as a laser shot pierced the mech's shoulder, and Lloyd and his mech started to fall toward the ground, as Lloyd himself grabbed his shoulder. Lloyd looked up, however, and noticed Light's mech, shooting at the other rebels, and his eyes widened, even as him and his new mech crashed into the ground...

Light looked on emotionlessly, as he looked from target to target, and fired at them quickly. Bridget and Drake were luckily able to dodge the shots, and somehow managed to keep out of trouble, but Light was also firing at Jared, Rose and Leo, trying to at least stop them from firing. In fact, aside from the shots on Jared, none of Light's attacks truly were aimed to be lethal.

Lloyd looked on, half conscious, as he watched what happened.
I can't move my arms... I can't control the mech... There's no power... I'm probably nearly dead myself... This can't be how it ends... It can't be... Lloyd thought, a look of desperation on his face.
"IT CAN'T!" Lloyd yelled out, as an aura of energy suddenly surrounded him. Something seemed to snap in his eyes, as he gripped the controls, and the mech's eyes suddenly lit up, and then stood up.
"Energy level 50%... 60%... 80%... 90%... Energy level exceeded. Overcharged." The HUD read, however, Lloyd paid no attention to that, as the Zero shot upwards, toward Light's mech, even as an aura of energy surrounded it.
"You!" Lloyd yelled out, both over the comm link, and in general, as he looked to be in a state of pure rage. There was no lag time between responses, as he scanned his eye across the screen, and slashed out at Light's mech, while firing a shot at one of the shield generators, locking onto it without the mech even turning it's head.

Light was surprised at the turn of events, and barely was able to block the blow, and was sent flying back through the air anyway as a result.
How is this possible...? He was out of the fight... How can this be? Light thought, and frowned.
"Backup requested."

OOC: Yeah... Light just went too far. Straw that broke the camel's back, as they say.

OOC: When did we last see Light, anyway?


IC: (Captain Zek Forrist): "All turrets, open fire! Wipe out these rebel fools!"

OOC: Back during the escape from the exploding Empire fortress. I've been neglecting a lot of characters. xD

Lloyd glared toward the battleship, as he released a volley of shots from his gun, targeting as many turrets as he could.
"Not on my life." Lloyd growled, as he violently kicked light's mech away, sending it spinning to the ground. Lloyd then air dashed toward the battleship itself, aiming shots at the different turrets and shield generators, and also slicing through any mechs that were stupid enough to move close to him. In fact, most that were that stupid were sliced into three pieces, and then had their cockpits stabbed; which obviously killed the pilots, before he moved onto the next one. Light watched, both in awe and shock.
He... He's one of the 'Blade Man' type pilots... Only one of those could have so much skill with a sword... Isn't he piloting the Zero, too?! Heh. Interesting that... Blade Man Zero... I guess it fits; since there hasn't been a Blade Man pilot in a very long time... But, it's soon time to show how wrong that is.

OOC: Wanted to work in a reference to one of my titles; but in general, different 'types' for pilot traits could be interesting.

[The Truth]

"Fire."

The Kel-Aviron fired a spread of rockets, but not at the rebel mechs. The missiles flew towards the Rebel Base...

Lloyd scowled, and the four who weren't probably as badly damaged fired at the missiles. As that happened, another mech sped toward the scene.
"Thought you could use some help..." Iris said over the comm link, as she fired off blasts at the missiles the others hadn't gotten.

[The Truth]

More missiles fired.

Rose moved her mech behind the Kel-Aviron. "I'm going in. Someone cover me while I take out the bridge!"


(Adrian): "Lloyd, you can handle that, right? This mech won't turn on."

Luna opened the trapdoor.
The man in the room below turned to face her. "Those pretenders to the throne finally hit you with something you can't fight off?"

Luna nodded. "We need your help...daddy."

OOC: Oh you gotta be kidding me.

"Of course I can." Lloyd growled at Adrian, as the Zero shot off toward where Rose was as well, firing at any Shield Generators in the way, and also alternating between slicing through mechs in the way, and firing at any mechs that were too far away, or about to attack. Meanwhile, Barry looked around, and frowned.
"Where'd that traitor Light head off to, anyway?" Barry scowled.

"... Status report, sir." Light said, as he walked toward the room where the commander was. He had docked, having taken too much damage for the already slightly damaged power core to handle. Light was now prepared to give a status report to the traitor emperor.

OOC: Aka, the one who shot Kora, if it's not already obvious. =P Also, there may or may not be a recurring theme here.

[The Truth]

Zex Forrist turned to Light. "Perfect timing. I was just speaking to Emperor Kiriam Zel."

Rose flew towards the Bridge, taking out shield generators and turrets along the way. She finally arrived at the bridge and fired all her missile.

(Jared): "Did it-?"

(Rose): "Negative. The missiles had no effect. Repeat, the missiles had no effect."

(?): "I'm not surprised the missiles had no effect. The Kel-Aviron was one of the four pride battleships of my fleet back when I was still the Emperor."

(Adrian): "I know that voice!"

(Jared): "T-The emperor?!"

(Luna): "And my father."

OOC: I had meant the emperor... I forgot that there was a separate commander for this base. Unless he's not even there.

That nearly shocked Lloyd out of his two power states, however, he kept a hold on it, and simply sped past Rose. Lloyd then attempted to slice through the bridge himself.
If we can't destroy it from outside... We'll have to try from inside. Lloyd thought.

-==IC: Drake==-

Drake nearly dropped Barry's mech in surprise, and Bridget wasn't far off.
"Chargas, sir?! How did you... How are you.... How did you survive!?" Bridget yelled out in shock, as Barry simply grunted, and proceeded to continue firing at the different shield generators and turrets... if it couldn't attack, there wouldn't be any real defenses. And if there were no defenses; it could be destroyed.

OOC: Are the hallways big enough for a mech? =P

"Oh yes?" Light asked, intrigued.

OOC: Kiriam Zel IS the False Emperor, now that he killed Kora.

IC: Rose was so shocked she nearly lost control of her mech, but caught herself in time.

Luna spoke again. "As loyal as I am to the rebellion, I am also loyal to my father."

And the Kel-Aviron isn't a base, it's a battleship. Unless I misunderstood WHERE Light went...

OOC: Yeah, that's who I meant as well. =P

And the hallways in the ship; I know it's not a base. =P I was asking for a different reason unrelated to Light. =P And honestly, I'm not sure where he went either.

"Makes sense... Just never would've figured a rebel girl to rescue the person she's supposed to stop." Bridget stated, with a shrug.
"But hey, what do I know, I had selfish reasons for what I did as well, so... I'm not exactly one to talk."

(Rose): "Lloyd? I seem to be surrounded."

OOC: Rose could easily save herself, but this way Lloyd can feel like a hero.

Only about 30 seconds after she said that, the mechs surrounding her decided to randomly fall out of the sky, about half being sliced in half through the cockpit, and the other half impaled by a laser beam through the cockpit.
"Done." Lloyd stated casually, as he lifted his gun arm, and fired at the next turret quickly.
"Happen to have any missiles left?" Lloyd asked, as he focused on Rose for a moment.

OOC: Lloyd's in berserker mode right now, he probably would've noticed even if she hadn't asked; because that's what he does. =P
