I'm working on a SEEEEEEEEEECRET project this summer, which I will build and unveil once I get more subscription time for LU.  I'll give you this teaser: It will bring back nostalgic memories for everyone who has been to Disneyland and/or has read my stories on the LU Creation Lab. 

I'm also working on my entries for both of the LU building contests this month:  "Build a Maelstrom Base" and a Maelstrom monster building contest.

It's the mech that Blade inspired me to build. The deadline got me all bricked out, so I said and sent caution to the wnd, I'm designing the ultimate mech,]

I entered to quickly, though my entry does deserve second, even if it's it me and the new guy 

I'm almost finished, I keep telling myself that, though when I come home each night I say, "the world is about to be turned on it's ear"

I don't use LDD anymore, I get the bricks out and then begin.

So the mech isn't just that, it is the mech that has it's own ride too...

Hrrrm . . . Good question . . . IDK yet . . .

Right now my room is a mess, I am going through the process of organizing and sorting. (funny how you make a mess doing that)

I try to build in real life first. Then about half way through I run into parts I dont have, or colors I dont have enough of, then I move to LDD. LDD is to hard for me to visualize how I want to do things. Especially with SNOT construction. If anyone wants to gimme inspiration, I would be more than happy to take up a challenge!

Some Bionicle MOCS that've been in my 'unfinished' bin for over 2 years now but hey, I get off of school tomorrow!

I also haven't been building very many bases, so I'll start off with some small ones.

Or quite possibly some F-Zero inspired machines made out of LEGO!

I've already built what I'm building this year. =P Haven't taken pics yet, but it's a mech based on the Strike from Gundam Seed.

... Even if it's colour scheme is nothing like the Strike's. =P

I will be building projects with my Mindstorms set this summer.  I think I kicked off the summer pretty well with my Ultimate LEGO Launcher. Now I'll just be building whatever comes to mind. I love building amusement park rides, and will probably make at least one of those this summer. However, I'm having trouble thinking of one. Any ideas?

Have you tried to build a roller coaster before? I don't know exactly how it would work, or if it's been done before, but that would be an interesting use of the NXT engines and such. =)

Roller Coaster is cool, and I don't think I've ever seen one, I have seen a Ferris wheel though, it can be found in the gallery on the official site. Come to think of it, I have seen several roller coasters from younger modellers.

Roller coasters are a good idea! A roller coaster building computer game was actually one of the first things that got me into engineering (that's part of the reason why I like building rides so much). I have thought about building a roller coaster before, and the hard part is the car/train itself. I can't think of a way that it wouldn't be impossible to make the car ago around a corner... it would surely get stuck. The next step is resorting to making a ball contraption (which, in my opinion, all good NXTers do eventually). I haven't done that yet, so perhaps I will. The only problem? I lost the LEGO balls that came with my NXT set... I unfortunately don't have any of the basketballs or soccer balls either.  I would have to use marbles... or buy some more LEGO balls. I would prefer the latter. 

I've actually built a ferris wheel before. It was my first NXT project.

Well, it'll show up in LU first.  That's right, I'm ACTUALLY PLANNING TO BUILD ON AN LU PROPERTY!!!! 

(If you've seen any of my LU properties...EVER...you'll know why that's so shocking.  Suffice to say a teenager's room left uncleaned for six months would be better organized than my LU props. )

But yes, i will post screenies once it's done.  I just finished my pencil-and-paper phase and I'm now ready to begin preliminary LDD work.
