A massive burst of energy burned the planet's atmosphere, killing everyone on it. Some ships tried to resist, but they still used solid projectiles which just bounced off the TSS Wellington's hull.

By the time Thoron got back to the ship, it was dark outside, and the temperature had dropped to below freezing. After getting into this ship, he told the autopilot to go to The Naga Orb, a dyson sphere around a white dwarf, where a large portion of the underground in the universe congregated. It was the best place to find information about the target.
