Sally sheepishly pulled out the taco. "I wanted to study it later."

Rod frowned at Sally.  "I already did that.  So there's no need for you to keep it...right?"

Wendy listened to the conversation around her, but at Tomas' comment focused diligently on her work.

"Besides, Joshua was in his room at the time, while I was..." he almost said looking for evidence, but caught himself just in time.  "...while he was teaching me some programming tricks."

Tomas frowned, and looked around the room.
"Well, this is certainly a bad first day." Tomas said with a sigh.

(Kitten): "Yeah...I meet a cute guy, and he gets poisoned."

"Huh?  I didn't get poisoned--Edward did," Rod said, not getting what Kitten was saying.

"Actually, I don't think Edward was the target.  Remember, he swiped your tacos?  I think they were after you."

Hank swallowed.  "That's...that makes no sense.  Why would someone want to kill Rod?"  He turns toward Tomas, half-suspicious, but half-asking for advice.

OOC: I think Hank and Tomas will end up as kind of rivals--not suspecting each other, but trying to solve the mystery first.  Wendy's not that kind of person, and Rod...well, for some reason he's slacking off.  I don't know, maybe once it sinks in that someone's tried to kill him, he'll buckle down and focus on the mystery, but regardless, he's not the kind to refuse help either.
OOC2: Once we wrap this up, can we timeskip to the next morning?

"No clue." Tomas said with a frown, but paused.
"Theoretically, it could be getting rid of competition; or..." Tomas said, and looked to Sally.
"It might be someone found info about a secret, and tried to do something about it." Tomas said, with a slight shrug.
"However; quick question... Did you say someone else was attacked?" Tomas asked, literally showing his confusion, as he hadn't heard about that before.

OOC: So we'd only talk to our characters tomorrow and onward in game?

OOC: Yeah, I need to intro the rest of my characters, but they show up late to the party. [/setup]

"Yeah, someone's been trying to kill Joshua here.  He was...telling me about it while he was working with me on the computer."

Wendy administers the second dose of Hydroxocobalamin.  "Once this one's finished, I'll administer the sodium thiosulfate.  I think I should stay here to monitor him overnight, does anyone mind helping me set up a cot in here?"

"I wouldn't mind." Tomas said with a shrug, but paused.
"Where are things like that, though?" Tomas asked, remembering the fact that he nearly got them lost just now. Tomas then turned to Hank.
"Hmm... that wasn't good... he have any clue who it might've been?" Tomas asked, honestly curious about all that.

OOC: I'm honestly surprised ?? doesn't even suspect Tomas of being anything. =P

"You found something in the system? What system? And what did you find?" Tomas asked, also curious as well.
"Gives motive though... When did these attempted attacks occur?" Tomas asked, curious about that as well.

(Joshua): "The student records...the number of students was too low by one student. And there was something about a plant."


(Sally): "Joshua! You agreed not to tell anyone else about that until I could dig up some more info for you!"

(Joshua): "Oops. Anyway...the attacks started a bit after that. The night after Sally agreed to look into it."

(Sally): "Could someone have overheard us talking?"

"And you don't seem any way people would suspect you? Maybe that's actually why you said not to repeat it."

Sally suddenly finds $100 in front of her face.

"Hmm...according to the markings I made, there's a few statues and paintings at the end of the hallway.  If one of those opens a passage, it might explain how the would-be killer overheard your conversation.  Otherwise...hmm.  We should probably search that corridor for listening devices.  Here," she says to Sally, "go ahead and copy my markings to the others' maps.  I only have a few corridors marked, but at least it's a head start.  I have to stay here to check on Edward, the rest of you can go investigate."

(Sally): "How dare you."

*Slaps Tomas and storms off after taking the money and giving Hank and Rod their maps (with Wendy's markings)*
