OOC: Which one won't? I would guess Rangers, but I could be wrong.

OOC: Rangers. =P Though, technically it only counts for the Guardians because of Neo's protection force. =P

"Yeah, don't do that." Trey said with a frown, and then chuckled.
"I definitely do not want the position that badly."

 Stutlus laughed. "Yeah, that's what I thought.... Do you mind if I'm the one to fight her?" He finished on a more serious tone.

"Yeah; go ahead." Trey said with a nod, however, with that said, he did want to be close by, to stop the fight if it was beginning to turn fatal, but he didn't vocalize that thought.

OOC: I forget, do we have profiles for half these story characters?(And, err, where is the profile topic or the posts for them?)

 "Thanks. You should show up when it happens by the way... Just." He wavered a bit. "Just in case."

OOC: Just sticking to the Kaze-like personality I seem to be slowly giving Trey. =P ... Might have to change my power, depending on what I had for him before.

"But of course; I wanna watch too." Trey said with a chuckle, as he smiled.

Character Name: Tray Seedman
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Character Personality: Tray has a fairly standard personality, as he tends to joke around and such. However, his biggest trait in his personality, is his unwavering will to protect others, including his friends. if his friends are in danger, he would do anything to protect them from threats.
Power: His desire to protect is reflected in his ability to generate a barrier. However, he can also use that barrier to attack by tossing a barrier generated around an object at whoever he is attacking. In the process, though, he is unable to use his barrier power.
Faction: Striker
Weapons: Two Dual Swords, and one Longsword on back for use if needed.
Character Description: Tray has light brown, bordering on blond, hair. His eyes are brown, and reflect his will to protect. He typically wears black or brown clothing, with some green here and there.
Bio: Tray's had a fairly standard life for people who live around there, but has just found out about the opportunities available to people, and has attempted to sign up now, for the program.


Ignore the bio's failness, this is harder since I have almost no clue about what the world of this RPG's like. =P

Trey walked to where the fight was going to take place, and stood off to the side.
I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid. Trey thought, as he looked around at the area.

OOC: You didn't happen to make a profile for any of the important NPCs, like the leaders, did you? =P

OOC: I don't think so. The only two introduced are the Ranger leader and Amy, one of which won't matter rather soon.

 Stutlus walked till he was in a hearing distance of Amy. He didn't want to be to close when he initiated this; he'd seen what she could do with her knives. "Captain Amy." He shouted across the distance.
 Amy turned and looked at him.
 Stutlus took a breath, and finished his part to do with words. "I challenge you, by my own right, to combat under the condition that if I win, I and my friend Trey are raised to full status." There was silence. Stutlus, now commited, raised his voice, "What say you?".

OOC: Kudoo's if you know where that last line is from.

OOC: I'd say what isn't that line from. =P And the Ranger leader won't matter soon? =P

Trey frowned, as he stood nearby, effectively taking a neutral stance right at this moment.

OOC: Er... *reads up and down at all prior post* You have been the one posting here with me, yes? =P

 Amy smirked, and replied. "I accept." She walked the rest of the distance towards Stutlus, who backed away slightly, keeping enough room between them to block anything she might throw.
 The nearby Strikers formed a large circle around them unaturally fast. The wordlessness of the area was almost intimidating. But Stutlus ignored them, and drew both swords from his sides. "Draw your weapons."
 Amy did so; her blades were a little longer, but thinner. And to Stutlus' eyes, they were more breakable. "Scared?" She whispered.

OOC: How about that last line? =P

OOC: Yes. =P But, I also recall Trey being ready to step in if things went too far. I like to force people to think on their feet. =P

And as for that last line, I believe there's been a lot of people saying that too. =P

Trey frowned, as he silently watched, but kept his hand on the hand of one of his swords, ready to intervene if needed.
I wish I could do that barrier thing from a distance...

 Stutlus made the first move. He didn't reply to Amy, he just struck. He could see the flaws, few as they were, in her blade. But that was only for a last resort. Amy deflected his blows and reversed from her defending stance, blades swinging in a blur. Stutlus was stronger; but Amy was faster.
 A thin cut appeared on Stutlus' cheek. Then a deeper one on his left thigh. Amy had yet to be touched by his steel, but she was slowing. And Stutlus knew it. For each offensive slash Amy made, he clashed his blade against hers hard enough to make her entire body vibrate.
 But something seemed wrong. Amy hadn't become the captain of the Strikers for no reason. And while Stutlus and Trey were definitely excelling fighters, Stutlus was sure that Amy wasn't trying as hard as she could. He just had to figure out why. Amy wouldn't give up her life this fast he was sure she had something planned, something to crush him the second he went to end her....

Trey frowned, as he drew his sword. He noticed that things seemed to be turning toward Stutlus' favour, and he was going to make sure he didn't go too far... If he noticed things were going badly; he would step in. And if things went too far... Then he would make sure what Stutlus said earlier was true.

 Amy finally let her guard down, and Stutlus saw a chance. Instinctively, he took it, slashing amy across the stomach and whirling to slam the hilt of his other blade into the side of her head. She'd live. But that didn't matter. Stutlus had won, and he was now the captain. Probably.

 "Well then...." He said under his breath. It was over? Stutlus turned to the seniors of the group. "I did my part... There is no rule saying that you have to kill."

 None of them spoke. Stutlus eyed them over... something still seemed wrong.

 Amy slowly drew one of her throwing knives from her belt; she hadn't been knocked unconcious, she'd been feigning it. She drew back and aimed at Stutlus' neck. Moving slowly so as to not make a sound...

OOC: I believe this would be where Trey is necessary...

Trey's eyes widened, as he looked on in shock, and whipped his own sword at the blade, his shield surrounded it, as the shield was aimed to block the blow. However, he was now effectively defenceless, aside from having his remaining sword.
"Stop it." Trey stated, a frown on his face, as he drew his second sword, and walked toward the fight, ready to stop the fight himself if he needed to.

 Amy glared at him. "Fine." She cast her knife off to the side, and stood up. "I'm glad we could do this without one of us dying then." She said darkly. Stutlus wasn't so sure she meant it though.

-==IC: Stutlus==-

 Stutlus nodded. He held out his hand to shake hers, and she stabbed him in the side faster than he thought was possible. Stutlus kicked her off, and wrenched the knife out of his side, crying out in pain. He hurled it in a random direction, then got to his feet, swords at the ready. But there was no need. Some piece of luck had made the knife hit Amy in the heart. "Luck." He breathed. "Bloody luck, that's all that saved me... And you Trey."

Trey just stared, a look of shock on his face, and he then frowned, as he looked at Stutlus.
"... Was that necessary...?" Trey asked, though, since it was luck, there wasn't much to blame on... But still; he wondered if the death was really something necessary. He walked over to where Amy was, a frown on his face.
"Why? Why didn't you just stop?" Trey asked, honestly confused at that.

 Stutlus stepped back, now just as aghast as Trey as he realized what he had just done. "I didn't mean to... I just meant to get the blade away from us both." He looked at Trey. "I think I may have just found out why we weren't raised."

Trey sighed, as he frowned. He walked over to where Amy was, and closed her eyes, and looked over at Stutlus, a sad smile on his face.
"Maybe it's time we figured out our limits and our flaws." Trey stated with a shrug, intending it as a joke, but he also meant it in a way; though he'd been noticing that he felt an urge to save everyone; and probably would've tried to save Amy if things hadn't gone so quickly, and luck hadn't've had such a cruel sense of humour.
