I have USB 2.0; but no 3.0 or anything... besides, I'd have to check, but I don't believe the HDD has 3.0 support. Could be wrong.
However, to just transfer, and occasionally stream to listen to stuff, I believe it'll work fine. =P

you can't plug 3.0 into a 2.0 port. and you're correct, but running programs over USB 2.0 can be epic fail very easily.

Also: can anyone help me solve the infamous Vista/W7 "preparing to copy" glitch when downloading files? When it takes me upwards of 20 minutes to download a 60KB~ish LXF file, something is majorly wrong.
