The robots can also duplicate themselves at will.

I also tried imagining a Skrief Planet, but then I realised that within the first five seconds of its existence it would turn into a black hole and likely destroy everything around it because of an extreme case of weirdness.

I don't know... =/ Did you get anything other than the free Portal that time? If not, then it's likely not, given the whole 'Free Players can't do these things' part of the promotion. =P

Honestly, if it wasn't for Portal, I'd have stopped trying a while back, but I really want to play that... =/
