Apparently, intelligent people subconsciously crave different experiences. Since humans ordinarily sleep at night, intelligent people want to be awake at night. (This is also the reason intelligent people have a greater risk of getting addicted to illicit substances)

What happens if a vampire bites a werewolf? o_O

66597

66 27

The werewolf turns into a "regular" wolf.  Permanently.  If the werewolf scratches the vampire in the process, however, the vampire will lose their immortality and appear to be the age they actually are, though the vampire doesn't usually die from old age in the process.[/wizardsofwaverlyplace] Tongue

@Truth: It also makes sense for us to want to be awake at night; all the stoopid people in the region are (usually) asleep. Tongue

@ MTM: I actually liked the arcs involving Juliet a lot better than most of the final season(s); the grand finale did a good job at ending the show, but the entire last season was just...off.  That and all of the other shows ending and being replaced by dumber new shows are what made me give up on Disney Channel, except for the occasional episode of Phineas and Ferb--and even that seems to be getting dumbed down over time as well. Undecided

Why do we (as a society/species/whatever) treat our children like [insert strong synonym for "fools" here]?  When did we forget that kids tend to change to fit our expectations, so if we expect them to be dumb, annoying brats, that's exactly how they'll turn out?  Seriously, the American education system is teaching kids to be dumb robots who have no social capacity and zero independent thought or creativity whatsoever.

Also, whoever decided that arts funding should be the first thing slashed from school budgets during a financial crisis should be shot, then brought back to life, then shot again.  And then resurrected and slowly roasted alive over a pool of molten iron and I've forgotten where I was going with this metaphor. Tongue But yeah, whoever made that decision deserves to buuuuuuurn

Yeah, the whole "wizard competition" thing is kinda rediculous...

I did like juiliet, as well as his angel girlfriend, but they ruined that as well. Seriously, wizards had the chance to grow into a really awesome story, but they dumbed it down and little-kidded it up. Same with good luck charlie and (to a slightly lesser extent, luckily) My Babbysitter's a Vampire. Great potential, that just didn't live up to expectations.

And don't get me started on how TERIBLE Austin and ally and Ant Farm are. >_>

Yeah, the whole "wizard competition" thing is kinda rediculous...

I'm going to disagree there.  It ups the stakes and provides an actual reason for the out-of-control sibling rivalry, aside from the "TV families are supposed to be like that" formula.  The little we actually saw of the competition in earlier seasons was actually pretty decent; it's only towards the end that things got rediculous.

The thing that irks me about these shows is that none of them try to grow with the audience.  Seriously, stop trying to be Sesame Street; you don't have to constantly maintain the same status quo and have your characters remain childish and immature through the entire series.  Kids grow up--their entertainment should grow with them.  That's part of what killed BIONICLE, and it's killed HUNDREDS of kids franchises over the years.  ATTENTION ALL TV PRODUCERS: Sesame Street is a rarity--it still manages to work (somewhat) despite having been on television since before cavemen invented the wheel and fire ( Tongue ).  YOU ARE NOT SESAME STREET.  You will not be on the air for decades upon decades.  You CAN afford to have real character development and growth.  You do NOT have to stretch out your show for additional merchandising money until it becomes a tired, shallow husk that's not worth letting kids watch anymore.

Whatever happened to artistic integrity?  Cry Cry Cry

Two things:
1: Some scholars believe that 666 is NOT the "Number of the Beast", but rather, that 616 is.
2: Bionicle did kinda get darker for the Piraka arc...then it got kind...dumb for the Bara Magna arc.

The whole ignition arc (piraka to Mata Nui awakening) was the darkest (and best) part of the bionicle story.

@ Flipz: its the entire concept of the wizard competition. It just makes no sense. Try to think how that scociety would even work, how the wizard scociety would not die out. It just seems silly if you put any thought into it.

@ Bionicle: I'd agree with that mostly, but the Denizens of the Deep arc was just a bit too light content-wise.  It simply took entirely too long to get the whole story; I get why they did it, in terms of set releases, but seriously, the Voya Nui and the Mahri Nui years could have easily been merged into one year, and the frequency of the story updates would have ended up being MUCH better.

@ Wizards: I have an explanation for that: wizard families are guaranteed to have magical children (whether or not the parents get to keep their powers), and/or they are guaranteed to have multiple children.  (I can think of a perfectly logical explanation for the latter that works for any magic-involved universe, but let's just say it's not appropriate for here and drop it. Snicker )

In other news, Truth, we need a Snicker emote.  It should look like a cross between the eyes of >_< and the mouth of XD .

Contrary to popular belief, nocturnal humans are not characterized by fangs, but rather by bags and dark circles under the eyes...

My dark circles are about an inch thick, actually. I'm pretty sure my classmates think I do hydrocodones or something.

Apparently, intelligent people subconsciously crave different experiences. Since humans ordinarily sleep at night, intelligent people want to be awake at night. (This is also the reason intelligent people have a greater risk of getting addicted to illicit substances)

I would say "oh that's why I want to move to the other side of the world" but then I realized that I'm an idiot so w/e
