I get paranoid that people dislike me, so I stop talking to people, because I fear that if I talk to them they'll yell at me, and if I do I'll sometimes immediately go away because I'm afraid of what the reaction may be. It's stupid that I do this.

Replayed Portal 2 after replaying Portal 1. I don't remember its single player campaign being so... easy? Fastest I've ever got through it - 5 hours. If I keep this up, I could probably start speedrunning the game. Except, of course, speedruns take a surprising amount of strategy, precision, and luck. Puts into perspective how much longer - and harder I found The Talos Principle - about 26 hours or so for its main campaign. And, having forgotten stuff about the co-op campaign of Portal 2, I feel that some of Portal 2's mechanics were underused - the gels especially. They sort of disappeared after the sixth and seventh chapters until the end.

Now replaying Transistor, as it's another short game I like. Crash(), upgraded with Breach() is a very useful combination, as is Load() with Get(). Never really used Load() before except to raise damage - it's actually one of the most useful functions provided you make it hit things, which is much easier to do when it drags in enemies for you. And, wow, it is really quite hard to avoid getting hit if you're not using jaunt() all the time, and I once again overestimated the usefulness of Get() as an active function - it's honestly not that useful, because often I find I don't want to bring enemies closer. I do however want them to be closer to explosions that damage them.

I know the feeling of that very well. Especially when people don't respond right away. I'm guilty of both sides, I know, though usually for the side where I don't respond, it's a bad time for me(which tends to be a lot recently...), but... It's not because I don't like someone. I just, at that moment, don't wish to talk right then... ^^'

Also, agreed on the gels; even in the main campaign it's oddly not really present. The first playthrough, it seemed like a lot, but... on subsequent ones, I could definitely see that.

It's odd because they even brought in the devs from a game using the same mechanic, IIRC. You get introduced to the blue gel, then do a few puzzles covering its basics, then one or two more advanced puzzles and you move onto the orange gel, which follows the same pattern except with some occasional blue gel, and then the silver gel gets introduced near the end and is probably the least used gel, and least used mechanic, in the entire game.

Hope we get a Portal 3 someday, sequels usually aren't afraid to use mechanics that were introduced late in previous games.

Transistor's 4th speed test still infuriates me. I thought I did it at 5 seconds left, wondered why the test wasn't ending and the clock was still counting down... a full-health clucker was hiding in the top of the area. And I had to kill it with just purge() in five seconds, because I'd lost void() thanks to all the Fetches. Fetches are one of the most terrifying enemies in Transistor because they can deal so much damage so fast, and go into stealth.

I hate Purge(). Never found a good, solid use for it, and I've never found it reliable. Void() also takes up so little space for how much it can boost your damage...

I'm still on 8.1. From what I hear, 10 has a lot of problems. Looks shinier, easier to use, but has a lot of problems like spying on the user and slowdowns, or something.

Uraw: Ooooh, nice. =O I know that feeling about no time, though; although for me it's mostly because it started and then I never got back to it while I could...

Pulse: Not me; I don't like the idea of it. It sounded nice with it fixing what 8 did wrong, but 7's still arguably the better one in terms of Windows, because of the silly things they did wrong.

Right. I'm someone that likes my privacy, and from what I heard, even if you disable them, the telemetry will be enabled again by the next update anyway. Which to me, doesn't make any sense. Why even give the user even the mere illusion of choice if you're not going to allow them to make THEIR OWN DECISIONS on THEIR OWN COMPUTER?! It's like having this invisible visitor coming into your house (even if you've barred them from doing so) each week saying 'No, I don't approve of your computer. I have to change it whether you like it or not!"

Microsoft needs more commercial competitors than just Apple. I know about Linux, but that's open source and from what I understand largely free.

Personally I do not think it is microsoft initiating this. It feels more like a nosy government or governments. At any rate I will stick to 7 myself till I can no longer use it and then get a mac or android or whatever option is out there that won't look over my shoulder!!!

London is the capital of the UK, and one of most profitable cities in the entire western world too IIRC. Of course it's 'footing the ball' for the rest of the UK let alone Scotland and Wales, it probably earns more than all of they do combined, and Wales could hardly sustain itself alone. London's part of this country, it's the freaking capital city. To act like it's completely stupid for it to be doing what it does... ugh. There's already enough animosity between the London and the rest of the UK, don't increase that amount. And at least Scotland will (probably) have several opportunities to leave. If things keep going the way they're going with the government and with what I've heard, I might be compelled to head north. They voted to stay in, I have to question if that were a wise decision considering it seems like the government didn't deliver on much of the promises they made.

Our voting system is messed up, too. A government in power that the majority did not vote for, just because they gained the most votes at about ~25% or so. Everyone else? Voted for something different. Around 70% of people did not want the current government in power, and it's easy to see why. Last time we tried to change the voting system, the opponents ran a smear campaign on it that boiled down 'IT KILLS BABIES! DON'T SUPPORT IT!'.

And now? The tabloids are playing on the immigrant phobias to get people to vote to leave the EU, the one thing holding our government back from doing worse things. If there's one thing I can say about the USA's political system compared to ours: at least you guys are represented fairly.

It should be 'Power to the people', not 'Power to the pampered'.
