Since I fail to see any negative feedback on the board, I'll go set it up. For anyone wanting to mod, ask him. He's running the contest, so he needs to be able to lock/sticky everything he needs to, like competition rules and the tourney list and whatnot.

If you have anyone you specifically want to help other than myself and Blade (We can mod everything, anyway), shoot me a PM.

Oh, I'm overhauling my competitive team(again). I'm starting by training Scizor. Porygon-Z it is.

*EV trains Scyther* say, do items like Protein give 10 EVs, or 10 EPs?

IT is private Wink

I would like to be allowed to see the board, I won't be participating in this year's tournament, but I will be in the next one. Or whichever one is the HG/SS one.

Oh, I'm overhauling my competitive team(again).

What's going to be your competitive team?

And it's time for B~T's POKEMON REVIEWS!!! Since Twilight asked first...

DRAGONITE!!!

Type: DRAGON/FLYING
Ability: Inner Focus - This ability prevents flinching. However, it will not nullify Focus Punch flinches.
Tier:  OU
Stats:

HP         91
Atck       134
Def        95
Sp. Atck 100
Sp. Def   100
Speed    80

Author's Opinion: Many say that this Pokemo is completely inferior to Salamence. For the most part, it is true, but it has a few things Salamence does not have. It has higher Defenses, as well as access to Thunderbolt, Superpower, and Fire Punch. It also has Light Screen to reduce the damage from Ice Beam, which would otherwise OHKO Salamence.

Hey, this Pokemon is special to me, because it was the first IV Trained Pokemon I had captured. Yes, I EV Trained it and pwned Blade on Wi-Fi with it.

Recommended Movesets:
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
Item: Leftovers/Yache Berry
EVs: 4 HP/252 Attack/252 Speed
~ Dragon Dance
~ Outrage
~ Earthquake
~ Fire Punch

The Dragon Dancer that mimics Salamence with the exception of Fire Punch. Dragon Dance up, and sweep. Very deadly. N'uf said. Just that Dragonite gained Fire Punch.

Nature: Rash/Mild
Item: Life Orb
EVs: 112 Attack/196 Sp. Attack/200Speed
~ Superpower
~ Draco Meteor
~ Flamethrower/Fire Blast
~ Thunderbolt/Roost

This is what sets Dragonite from Salamence. Superpower gives it a better option and can deal more damage than Salamence's Brick Break. Draco Meteor can help bring down Physical Walls such as Swampert who is immune to Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt is also a good way to deal with Bulky Waters *stares at Gyarados*. Roost is an option as well.

Countering Dragonite:

Ice Beam will only 2HKO on most cases since it has higher Special Defense than Salamence, and can hit back with the preferred move or Dragon Dance up to sweep, thus it isn't a direct counter.

Swampert and other Bulky Waters can wall the Dragon Dance set and hit back with Ice Beam. Cresselia is the same case, but beware of repeated Outrages/Draco Meteor.

Ice Shard is the bane of Dragonite's existence, since it doesn't affect Dragon Dance. Weavile and Mamoswine are examples of good Ice Shard users, hitting on its weaker Defense. However, beware switching in on Fire Moves.

Skarmory can laugh off Dragonite's attacks not named Fire Blast and can Whirlwind boosts away.

Scizor can switch in to any non-Fire attack and KO a Dragonite at low health with Bullet Punch.

News and Improvements Section:
Hello, this is, uh, the news section.

Oh, and not to mention that this is also the first time I added the News Section Tongue.

August 11, 2009
Added separate section for the previous reviews.

I don't know what my team is yet, besides Scizor. I've decided to add Dragonite, as well. Next I'm adding a Tank to the mix, what's the difference betweem a Tank and a Staller? For my tank, I'm thinking Dusknoir or Swampert. Is either one a Tank, and if so, which should I go with?

For future reference, I'm going with one Pokemon at a time for my Comptetitive team. I haven't planned it out yet.

I can't find that Life Orb in Stark Mountain. Where is it??

Nice review B~T Smiley

I thought the Life Orb is in Route 225...
O wait... That's D/P, I think.

Tank - A Pokemon that can take hits as well as attack back.

Staller - A Pokemon that uses Status Moves (Toxic) to "stall" the opponent.

Dusknoir and Swampert are okay choices, both have their advantages, but Sage Harpuia says that Dusknoir doesn't do his job as he was meant to do.

If you need Stealth Rock support, go with Swampert...

Once I get my DS, I will breed for a good Dragon Dance Salamence...
I have a Bagon with 31 IVs in Attack and 28 in Speed as well as 22 in HP...

Currently battling in the Uber tier on Shoddy, since I never get the chance to play with any Ubers ingame... nyone else playing on Shoddy?

Dusknoir has great defences, but I agree that it's not great, because its slow and it has low HP, which basically nullifies its defences. And it lacks a STAB which could help with tanking abilities.

I've come up with a pretty effective team for OU, and so far its done pretty well. It still has a few weaknesses, but here it is:
Jirachi
Tyranitar
Latias
Lucario
Scizor
Togekiss

Jirachi and Scizor are the main sweepers on this team, and even though they share a steel type, Steel isn't resisted by too much, and they can hit pretty hard(especially if Scizor gets in a Swords Dance or 2). Tyranitar doesn't really sweep much, he's more there to add an infinite Sandstorm, which is resisted by 4 members of my team(including T-Tar). Latias is there to pack a big punch with Draco Meteor, and can also take a few hits. Lucario and Togekiss are backup sweepers; Lucario has a Scarf, so he hits fast, and because he's a Special Sweeper, he surprises many people and usually gets a KO. Togekiss uses the infamous ParaFlinch, which hurts a lot of people. She doesn't often get a KO, but she hurts a few pokemon, making it easier for Jirachi and Scizor to hit.

Nice team. But how'd you get Jirachi?

WEll, so far in my planning for new new (that's not a typo) competitive team, I have-

Scizor
Dragonite
Jolteon/Porygon-Z (after doing some thinking I may need to consider Jolteon a bit more)
Swampert

What's nice is that I'm not overlapping any weaknesses and getting a good moveset mix. I'm adding a physical fire type next....*slaps face* Infernape, duh! Although I wouldn't count Blazekin out yet-although he is somewhat inferior to Infernape, he was my starter in Emerald, my favorite Pokemon game, and I have something of an attachment to him.

@Sage - Your team looks nice, but 4 of your team members have trouble with Nasty Plot Infernape, and it is famous for breaking down walls.

I really need to work on my actual team... -___-

I need more time...

Machamp
Salamence
Skarmory/Gliscor
Blissey/Tentacruel
Starmie
Gengar/Swampert/Porygon-Z

Do a Swampert review B~T. NAO. =P

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you've done one already, I just didn't see it.

Alrighty, Infernape and Azelf will be part of my team. (azelf will be my lead because I tought it stealth rock-I can't afford a lead w/o Stealth Rock)

@DT: I'm playing on Shoddy Battle, a simulator, so I have access to every pokemon, and all of their moves. That's how I'm using Jirachi(and I love that pokemon so much. It beat an entire team with Serene Grace boosted Iron Head(I got a flicnh nearly every time, and when I didn't the other person used stat boosting moves and SR)).

@BT: Yes, most fire types give me trouble(Jirachi, Scizor, Lucario are weak to fire, and Tyranitar is weak to fighting, which is basically Mix-Ape).

This is the Jirachi that I'm using:
-Iron Head
-U Turn
-Stealth Rock
-Dynamic Punch (must change this; it is great if it hits, but being locked into this is not good)
Carries Choice Scarf, allowing it to outspeed a lot of leads.

Why Dynamic Punch? It only has 50% accuracy, and its a LEAD, so it doesn't need as much moves.

I looked up Smogon, and you should replace it with Trick, so you can swap your opponent's items to slower Pokemon, shutting down their usefulness.

I find Scarf to be quite useful on my Jirachi, so I'm not gonna trick it away. And my Jirachi is not a normal lead. Yes, its the first thing to pop out in the battle, but my team has no true lead. Usually I U-turn myself out on the first move, getting Focus Sash users to crumble beneath me, and if an Alakazam or Azelf appears, I hit them hard too. Also, most people expect SR to be set up by Jirachi, but that doesn't happen often. Iron Head kills Aerodactyl leads, because it is either a OHKO, or if there's a Focus Sash, I have 60% flinch, and then hit them on the 2nd turn.

But I do agree that D-Punch needs to go.
