1. Oh yes, I've finished both of the books. =P In fact, that's one of the things I'm waiting on right now, since the final book(Well, currently final book... =P) is due for May. That still leaves like 6 months of waiting, though, as Mark of Athena's probably gonna be released in October like the last two.

2. I was halfway through when I got distracted as well; but I mostly blame Skyward Sword for that, as I didn't touch any of the books I had for the longest time due to playing the game. xD I recommend you get back to it, though, it is really good.

@mtm: I don't know as much about egyptian mythology, and as such am not interested as much in the Egypt style books by Riordan.


Has anyone here heard of the Across the Universe series? Currently only the first 2 books of the trilogy are available, with the third one expected January 2013. It is a sci-fi book, but not hard core. In fact, I would only categorize it as sci-fi because the book is about space travel. I would highly recommend the series to anyone, as they are good length books with great characters. The book is written similarily to Rick Riordan's Heroes of Olympus books, with each character telling their story in their point of view. I picked up the first book just after Christmas because it looked interesting, and immediately after starting I was hooked. The plot is full of mystery and suspense, and both have great backdrops (scenes) that you can really begin to feel, especially in book two (although book one comes with a map).

In my world and perhaps just in my mind, there are only a few books worth reading, my first choice is "The Lego Ideas Book" which I only found in the last few weeks.

It's remarkable to say the least, I can't wait to take a real look.

I should re-read The Lost Hero myself sometime; I've re-read every other book, that's the only one I haven't read relatively recently, as I read it right when it came out. =P

I'd say either Percy and Annabeth, or Jason and Annabeth. Going with Percy slightly, if only for the awesomeness in the first series and *SPOILERS*. Even if my favourite element is lightning. =P And Annabeth... Well... You just don't mess with someone who can turn invisible at will. xD
