Anyone here read Maximum Ride?
I'm reading through the first book now. A friend recommended it like a year ago, and I only just remembered I was supposed to be looking for the books that were recommended, after not having any luck finding them at first. xD

Currently reading through Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged... it is really long (over 1000 pages, with each page filled with small font words)... It's kinda interesting, but a long read that gives you a lot to think about, apparently. My librarian at school gave me an extended loan of the book because she said I was doing some serious reading...

I've read the first book about, maybe, 4 times? At least twice, since I re-read it when I got the three pack when Brisingr came out. They're very good books, I must say. Long, though; which made me pause in my third read-through of the first book. =P

Atlas Shrugged is a great read.
It's pretty good so far, although it's reeeaallly long, which makes it hard to read, especially when it takes me 1-2 minutes to read a page...
Actually, who hasn't read Eragon that's a teenager? =P
I tried to read Eragon but couldn't get through it. It's not really my style of book. Maybe if I'd picked it up earlier I would have read it, but when I did try it out it wasn't good for me.

Elantris by Brandon Sanderson is an excellent book. And for his newest book, The Way of Kings, I've heard nothing but good news. Smiley

I read The Hobbit recently. Admittedly, I am not an avid reader but I have this outer desire to hate reading yet this inner desire to read some. I'm already feeling awkward typing about it. I guess the episode of that popular show made me realise it?

I love the Hobbit. I believe that I've read it 3 or 4 times; which reminds me, I should read it again. =D

There is also something to be said for lazy days of spring and summer under a tree or on a hillside...

My favorite is in front of a fireplace, on the floor, with the snow falling outside and you're all by yourself...

I no longer lay on the floor, but curling up in front of the fireplace with a book is a frequent activity for me.
